A modern Japanese whisky distillery, founded in 2017 by Komasa Jyozo Co. Located along the Fukiagehama Beach in the Kagoshima Prefecture, it operates three differently-shaped pot stills to produce a variety of single malts which it then blends together. Its first whisky was released in 2021.

A legendary name in Japanese whisky that developed significant cult status due to many exceptional releases of its whisky following its closure in 2000. The original distillery was dismantled in 2016, however a new one was built 7 miles away in the town of Karuizawa, commencing production in 2023.

The first commercial single malt whisky distillery in Taiwan, built by the King Car Group in 2005 and producing its first spirit the following year. The distillery takes its name from the indigenous Kavalan people of Taiwan's Kabalan Plain and the brand was launched in December 2008.

A former Japanese whisky distillery that was built by Sanraku Shuzo Co and started distilling malt whisky in 1958. It was later transformed into a grain distillery with the installation of a Coffey still in 1969. Having closed in the 1980s, bottlings of its single grain are in incredibly rare.

A farm-to-bottle distillery in Kentucky, opened in 2012. It is owned by the Copperhead Distillery Company and its house brands include Whiskey Row and Iron Quarter. It is also the source of Jefferson's and a number of other third-party labels.

A Kentucky whiskey distillery established in 2015 in order to revive the pre-Prohibition Peerless brand that its founders' ancestor, Henry Kraver, had once produced. The distillery is registered DSP-KY-50 - the same used by Kraver - and today produces both bourbon and rye whiskies.

A historic Irish distillery in the eponymous town in Co. Westmeath. It was built in 1757 and operated under the Locke's and Brusna names prior to closing in 1957. Having been refurbished and opened as a museum in 1982, it later resumed distilling under the ownership of Cooley Distillery PLC in 2007.

An Islay malt distillery that was the first new distillery on the island for 124 years when it opened in 2005. Founded by the Wills family, the distillery saw a return of the practice of “farm distilling” to Islay as it used its own barely fields, malt floors and kilns.

An Irish whiskey distillery located in the Mournes of Co. Down. Established in 2019 by Brendan Carty, it is highly traditional in its approach and produces single pot still whiskies direct-fired Portuguese pot stills and worm tub condensers.

A briefly operational malt distillery that was located within Inver House Distillers' Moffat complex alongside Garnheath and Glenflagler. Production began in 1965 but its stills were decommissioned some time after 1972. Very few bottlings of its single malt have ever been released.

One of several mid-20th century experiments by blenders to install malt-distilling capacity with their grain distilleries. Like most, this one was short-lived with the stills installed at Strathclyde by Schenley Industries in 1957 before being ripped back out again by Whitbread in 1975.

A Lowland malt distillery, built upon a disused farm steading in the Cambo Estate in Fife. Originally conceived by Douglas Clement in 2009, he was unable to finance the project and it was sold to the Wemyss Development Company in 2012, who built it and had it operational by 2014.

A William Grant & Sons malt distillery on their Dufftown estate in Speyside. It was opened in 1990 to ease pressure on Glenfiddich and Balvenie to provide fillings for its Grant's blends and is a key component in the Monkey Shoulder recipe. It is also home to the Kininvie Works innovation arm.

A Speyside malt distillery and one of several in the Scotch whisky holdings of Diageo. The distillery is synonymous with the J&B brand having first been assigned to Justerini & Brooks in 1962. Despite its importance to the legendary blend, it also has a long-serving single malt brand as well.

A distillery located in the Speyside town of Knock, just outside Keith. Built in 1893, it was the first malt distillery to be built by the Distillers Company although was sold by its successor, United Distillers, to Inver House Distillers who now markets it single malt under the AnCnoc brand name.

A Japanese malt distillery that was opened by Matsui Shuzo in 2017. The company had previously introduced a Kurayoshi brand, which it still markets using whisky sourced from another company. As such, the distillery's own single malt is sold as The Matsui.

An artisanal gin distillery founded in 2016 by Number One Drinks. Located in the south of Kyoto, its flagship expression is called Ki No Bi, and it also produces a range of limited edition aged gins called Ki Noh Bi which often use ex-Karuizawa whisky casks owned by its parent company.

A Finnish distillery that was commenced production in 2014 after its founders lamented the lack of locally-produced rye spirits. It distils both whisky and gin, the latter of which is infused with locally-sourced botanicals. Its whisky is made with malted Finnish rye and aged in variety of casks.
