Brown-Forman Corporation
Brown-Foreman Corporation is an American multinational with spirits interests in a variety of categories. It was established in 1870 by George Garvin Brown and his brother, John Thompson Street Brown. It launched Old Forester bourbon in the same year, which remains its flagship American whiskey brand alongside Jack Daniel's and Woodford Reserve.
The company also owns the Slane distillery in Ireland and has Scotch whisky interests through its The Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Its other spirits brands include Herradura tequila, Finlandia vodka and Diplomatico rum.
