King of Kentucky
King of Kentucky is a historic brand of straight bourbon whiskey, first bottled in 1881. It is currently part of the portfolio of the Brown-Foreman Corporation who acquired it from Selected KY Distillers in 1936. The company marketed it until 1968, shelving it for fifty years until resurrecting it in 2018 as a range of premium single barrel bottlings.
The brand is available as an annual batch release of between roughly 30-40 barrels. All are bottled at cask strength and distilled from a mash bill of 79% corn, 11% rye and 10% malted barley.
