Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 23 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
This was third release of the 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve and the last to be produced with a gold wax seal. Released in 2005, it was filled at Buffalo Trace distillery by the Sazerac company and contained wheated bourbon whiskey from Stitzel-Weller distillery.
Pappy Van Winkle
A brand of wheated Kentucky straight bourbon and one of the most sought-after names in American whiskey. It was introduced in 1994 by Julian Van Winkle III and is named after his now legendary grandfather, Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle Snr, and it is available in 15-, 20- and 23-year-old expressions.
Sazerac Company
A historic American spirits company established in 1869 by Tomas H. Handy. It is headquartered in New Orelans, Louisiana and has distilleries in the US states of Kentucky, Virginia, Maine and Tennessee, as well as in Canada and Ireland.
