Berghoff (also sometimes labelled as Herman Berghoff) was a brand of bourbon whiskey produced for The Berghoff restaurant in Chicago, IL. It was bottled for them first by Stitzel-Weller distillery and then by Julian Van Winkle III's Commonwealth Distillery Company.
Stitzel-Weller Distilling Co
A company formed by the merger of A. Ph. Stitzel and W.L. Weller & Sons following the repeal of Prohibition in 1933. It opened the Stitzel-Weller distillery in 1935, producing a wheat mash bill bourbon for its Old Fitzgerald, W.L. Weller and Cabin Still brands.
