Headquartered in Dublin, Irish Distillers is a subsidiary and the Irish whiskey division of French-based drinks multinational, Pernod Ricard, who acquired it in 1988. The company was originally established in 1966 through the merger of Cork Distilleries, John Jameson & Son and John Power & Son.
The company currently operates a single distillery at Midleton in Cork, and it produces a range of brands including Jameson, Redbreast, Knappogue Castle and the Spot Whiskey series.
