Bonnington is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Edinburgh. Construction work began in 2017 and was completed in late 2019, with its first casks filled the following year. The distillery is owned by Halewood Artisanal Spirits through its John Crabbie & Co subsidiary.
The distillery was the first to open in Edinburgh's historic Leith district for nearly 100 years, and it primarily produces a non-peated spirit, however malt peated to 50ppm is used for 8 weeks per season.
The Bonnington single malt brand was launched in October 2023 with the introduction of the distillery's Inaugural Release, a 3-year-old single port cask bottling. This was followed in 2024 by a 1,500-bottle small batch release of PX sherry cask-aged whisky.
