Eadie Cairns
Established in the late 19th century, Eadie Cairns was a spirits distributor and wholesaler in Glasgow, Scotland. In its time it was best-known for its Cairns and National Choice blended Scotch brands. Much of the malt fillings for these were provided from Auchentoshan distillery which it owned between 1969 and 1984, during which time it also introduced the distillery's single malt brand.
Eadie Cairns was acquired by Stanley P. Morrison in 1984. A new company was then set up under the name of R.W. Cairns, which continues to operate a portfolio of bars, hotels and off-licenses in Scotland. Although the name of the company was changed back to Eadie Cairns in 2000 when Suntory allowed the trademark to lapse, it has since been rebranded again, now trading as The Single End Pub Company.
