Glentoshan
Glentoshan was a briefly-produced alternative single malt brand used by Eadie Cairns to market Auchentoshan to the Italian market.
Although Eadie Cairns sold Auchentoshan using the distillery's name domestically, they opted to use Glentoshan as it was believed the inclusion of "Glen" was synonymous there with high-quality Scotch. The best-selling whisky in Italy at the time was the Glen Grant 5-year-old, and Eadie Cairns' expression was directly intended to have a similar appeal.
