United Breweries Group

The United Breweries Group is an Indian conglomerate that principally markets the Kingfisher beer brand, however produces and sells many other alcoholic beverage labels as well. For many years it had significant whisky holdings through its United Spirits subsidiary, headlined by its McDowell's brand and latterly, the Whyte & Mackay Group which it purchased in 2007.

Although it still has a share in United Spirits, the controlling stake was sold to Diageo in 2014 and the United Breweries Group returned its focus to beer and other activities.
