Highland Distillers
Highland Distillers is a historic Scotch whisky company, currently operating as a subsidiary of The 1887 Company, itself ultimately part of The Edrington Group. The principle operations of the company are the production and maturation of whisky for the Highland Park, Glenrothes, Naked Malt and The Famous Grouse brands.
In the past, the company's portfolio has included many other malt distilleries over the years, most notably Bunnahabhain for which it launched its single malt brand in 1979, and Macallan which it acquired in 1996. The latter remains part of the overall Edrington Group however is operated through a different subsidiary.
