Ardmore 1986 100th Anniversary 12 Year Old

Famous for being the heart of the Teachers blend, Ardmore was rarely recognised as a single malt until recently.

This 12 year old distilled in 1986 was bottled to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the distillery in 1999 (built in 1899).

Ardbeg Perpetuum Bicentenary Release

As Ardbeg distillery turns 200 years old there will no doubt be a few new limited releases, such as the Perpetuum. Released on Ardbeg Day 2015 (30th of May) this was available from Ardbeg Embassies world wide. Not to be confused with the distillery release, this has a slightly lower ABV and comes in a box.

The Ardberg Distillery lies on the most Southernly part of Islay and on the rugged shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Ardberg is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex whisky of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat: rather the peat gives way to the malt, the natural sweetness of which subtly intrudes, producing perfect balance.

The new and shiny Ardbeg Auriverdes, launched on 31st May 2014 on 'Ardbeg Day' which coincides with 'Ardbeg Day' at the Islay Festival.

The Auriverdes (Auri = Gold and Verdes = Green) is named after the Brazilian sports teams colours whilst also referring to Ardbeg's iconic green bottle and the 'golden' whisky inside.

The Ardberg Distillery lies on the most Southernly part of Islay and on the rugged shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Ardberg is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex whisky of them all. As We Get It Cask Strength Highland Pure Malt

Very small quantities are bottled at any one time because this quality of whisky is not always available and as no water is added to reduce it, the proof strength varies with each bottling; the quality of course remains superb. The colour of the whisky is influenced by the oak casks in which it matures and may also alter with each bottling. Some may be brown as a spate swollen burn, others as crystal clear as a Highland loch, but whatever the colour or the proof strength, the contents of this bottle are pure Highland Malt Scotch Whisky exactly bottled \"As We Get It\".

Distilled by Aberlour-Glenlivet Limited, Speyside.

Allt A Bhainne  That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #1

The Boutique Whisky Company was founded to bring forgotten drams from some of the worlds best distilleries to the whisky-craving masses. Often taken from miniscule parcels of forgotten stock/lost casks, none of the bottles carry an age statement.

The limited edition labels are hand-illustrated and designed with a nod towards whimsically, often incorporating whisky industry \"in-jokes\"

Allt A Bhainne sounds like House of Pain... River of Milk... this one is a little too cryptic to the casual observer.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is named after the famous whirlpool to the north of Islay. This is the official release of Corryvreckan following the Committee bottling. This expression joined the Ardbeg 10 year old and Uigeadail as an ongoing product, replacing the Airgh Nam Beist. This Ardbeg was matured in predominantly French oak casks and ex-bourbon American oak casks.

Aberlour A'bunadh Batch #47

Aberlour a`bunadh is produced in the tradition of 19th century single malts from an era when villagers would come to the distillery to collect their dram straight from the cask, often in apothecary bottles obtained from the village chemist. Indeed these bottles are the inspiration for the a`bunadh bottle shape today.

Matured exclusively in Spanish Oak Oloroso Sherry butts, the rarest and most precious casks used for maturation and bottled at cask strength, a`bunadh possesses an unrivalled aromatic intensity. A richer mouth fill and flavour complexity is achieved by bottling without the use of modern day chill filtering methods.

Aberlour A'bunadh is bottled using only first fill Oloroso sherry butts, this is batch #47 released in 2014.

Antiquary De Luxe Scotch Whisky 1970s

An older packaging of this popular blended whisky, with the iconic bottle.  We believe this to be circa 1970s, perhaps 1960s as there is no sign of bottle quantity or alcohol strength. The Antiquary is a fine example of one of Scotlands truly superb Scotch Whiskies. Each Whisky has been matured in Oak casks for at least 12 years. This long ageing process has given a unique smoothness to the blend which contains some of Scotlands greatest and cherished malt and grain whiskies.
