William Cadenhead
William Cadenhead is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland, founded by George Duncan as a vintner and distilling agency in Aberdeen in 1842. Today it is part of the J&A Mitchell group, who acquired it in 1972 and eventually moved it to Campbeltown. The company name comes from Duncan's brother-in-law, who took over the business after his death 1858.
Today the company is one of the most prolific independent bottlers in Scotland and has retail locations in Campbeltown, Edinburgh and London. Its flagship brand is its Authentic Collection, supported by a range of other whisky and other spirits labels with a regular monthly outturn.
