Constellation Brands

Originally founded in 1945 as Canandaigua Industries, Constellation Brands is an American multinational that produces and markets a portfolio of beer, wine, and spirits. It became Constellation Brands in 2000 in order to better reflect its internationally diverse activities.

The company's whiskey interests are currently represented by the High West distillery in Utah, and Nelson's Green Brier distillery in Tennessee. The modern day company is focussed on premium spirits brands which has seen it divest from more sizable holdings over the years, and its former assets include the Barton distillery in Kentucky and Black Velvet distillery in Canada, among others.
