Ardbeg Kelpie

The non-cask strength version of Ardbeg Kelpie, released during Feis Ile 2017. This has been matured in virgin casks crafted from oak grown on land in the Adyghe Republic - a Russian federal subject just north of Georgia, on the northeast coast of the Black Sea.

Ardbeg Perpetuum Bicentenary Release

Released in 2015 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the legendary Islay distillery. This is the standard 47.4% release which was released during Feis Ile 2015.

Perpetuum is a blend of old and young whisky which has been matured in both bourbon and sherry casks.

Auchentoshan 2000 SMWS 16 Year old 5.60

'Sweet surrentder'

A single cask Auchentoshan from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Distilled on the 11th of October 2000 and bottled 16 years later.  

This was matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead before being finshed in a first fill ex-oloroso hogshead.

One of 220 bottles. 

William Cadenhead 20 Year Old 

This is the first batch of the 20 year old blend to be bottled by Cadenhead's.

A single cask of blended whisky has been vatted together with a single cask of Glenrothes single malt and Strathclyde grain.

One of only 480 bottles produced in small batches from a solera sherry cask system. The vatting is 35% malt and 35% grain.

Aberlour A'Bunadh is produced in the tradition of 19th century single malts from an era when villagers would come to the distillery to collect their dram straight from the cask, often in apothecary bottles obtained from the village chemist. These bottles are the inspiration for the A'Bunadh bottle shape today.

A'bunadh is bottled using only first fill Oloroso sherry butts, this is batch #42 and was released in 2012.

Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch #47

These bottles are the inspiration for the A'Bunadh bottle shape today.

Aged exclusively in Oloroso sherry butts, this is batch #47 released in 2014.

The Old Malt Cask series is one of the most established independent labels on the market. It was launched by Douglas Laing in 1998 and bottled by them until 2013 when the brand became part of the Hunter Laing portfolio instead.

Arran 1997 Hunter Laing 21 Year Old / Old Malt Cask 20th Anniversary

An independently bottle single cask Arran, distilled in February 1997 and bottled in August 2018. 

The Old Malt Cask series is one of the most established independent labels on the market. It was launched by Douglas Laing in 1998 and bottled by them until 2013 when the brand became part of the Hunter Laing portfolio instead. This resurrection of the older label style celebrates the 20th anniversary of the brand.

Ardbeg Auriverdes

The Auriverdes was the 2014 Ardbeg Day release, an annual open day which coincides with the Feis Ile festival on Islay, on this occasion the 31st of May.

Auriverdes is a Portuguese term created by the combination of auri, meaning \"gold\" and verde, meaning \"green.\" The word is commonly used in reference to the national flag, or as a nickname for many of their sports teams on account of their uniforms. Coincidentally, these are also the brand colours of Ardbeg distillery.

Auchroisk 1994 Edition Spirits 24 Year Old

An independently bottled Auchroisk from Edition Spirits, part of their First Editions series.

Edition Spirits was founded in 2010 by Scott and Andrew Laing, the sons of Douglas Laing founder, Stewart. When he left Douglas Laing to establish the new Hunter Laing company in 2013, he was joined by his sons who made Edition Spirits one of its operating arms, along with Langside Distillers.

One of 275 bottles charged from refill hogshead #15396 in 2018.

Auchentoshan 2001 Artist Collection #6 10 Year Old / Batch #2

A release from La Maison Du Whisky's sixth Artist collection. 

Distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2016 from single bourbon barrel #8000107.

One of only 211 bottles in the second batch. 

The label features exclusive artwork by Koralie.

Auchentoshan 1981 First Cask 15 Year Old

A single cask Auchentoshan, part of the extensive First Cask series from Direct Wines.

Distilled on the 19th March 1981 and bottled as a 15 year old from cask #1157.

A very tasty Aberfeldy, first introduced in 2005 and given a lovely 'make-over' in 2014. 

The Aberfeldy Distillery was established just three miles from the birth place of founder John Dewar and was built by the Dewar family. It is steeped in history and craftsmanship.

Whisky Galore Atlantic Gold / 1992 Release

A fantastic blend, named after the famous book and films about the sinking of the SS Politician.

This blend actually contains some of the whisky retrieved from the ship.

Allt-A-Bhainne 2009 Murray McDavid 8 Year Old / Spirit of Speyside 2018

This 2009 vintage Allt-A-Bhainne is the Festival Release from Murray McDavid for the 2018 Spirit of Speyside.

Bottled at 8 year sold, this was matured in American oak before being finished in a Pedro Ximinez sherry cask.

Bottle number 43 of only 301.

Arran 2002 Private Cask 14 Year Old #550 / Year of the Rooster

Distilled on 7th August 2002 and matured in single cask #2002/550 before being bottled on 15th May 2017.

Isle of Arran Distillery is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Scotland. The Distillery is in the village of Lochranza on the North-West tip of the Isle of Arran.

Whisky Agency Blended Malt XO / Pili

With an age statement borrowed from the world of brandy, this is an XO blended malt. In cognac terms this denotes expressions aged 10 years or older, but it could mean anything here.

Matured in a sherry butt and bottled for the Pili group.

The Whisky Agency's labels include The Perfect Dram, Liquid Library, Private Stock, and Liquid Sun.
