Port Ellen 1977 Scott's Selection

A Scott's Selection bottling of Port Ellen by independent bottler, Robert Scott & Co.

Distilled in 1977 and bottled in 1999 at cask strength.

Port Ellen has become increasingly sought after since its closure in 1983.

The Scott's Selection range was launched in the 1990s and was originally bottled from casks hand-selected by former Speyside distillery Master Distiller, Robert Scott. They are always filled un-chillfiltered and at a natural cask strength.

Port Ellen 1982 Dormant Distillery Co / 10th Anniversary

A 1982 vintage from the sought after closed Port Ellen distillery on Islay. This was bottled by The Dormant Distillery Co, a subsidiary of Royal Mile Whiskies who specialise in bottlings from the no-longer producing. This was bottled in 2007, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand.

The distillery closed in 1983, although its maltings are still operational, and supply barley to many of their Islay neighbours.

Single cask #1144 produced 294 bottles, this is number 246.

Since its closure in 1983, Port Ellen single malts have become real collectors items, especially these independent single cask releases.

This is a Signatory Vintage cask strength bottling of Port Ellen, distilled on 5th September 1978 and matured in refill sherry butt #5268.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

Bottled on 18th April 2002, this is bottle number 460 of 564.

Ardbeg 1991 Douglas Laing 25 Year Old / XOP

Old Particular is Douglas Laing's flagship label, and was launched in 2013 after their Old Malt Cask series became part of the portfolio of the newly established Hunter Laing. Xtra Old Particular is the premium version of the brand, and is reserved for casks the company considers the Laing \"family jewels.\"

Distilled in 1991 and bottled 25 years later, this is a pre-closure Ardbeg.

Pierre Ferrand 1st Cru De Cognac Decanter

The Ferrand Estate, family owned and operated since 1702 is personally managed by M.Pierre Ferrand.

All Ferrand cognacs are made from grapes grown exclusively in Grand Champagne, the first growth district of the cognac region.

This cognac is displayed in a beautiful decanter made by Aigle Crystal and includes a striking \"bird in flight\" stopper.

Ardbeg Twenty Something 23 Year Old / Committee Release

Distilled during the 1980s and 1990s in the pot-still which now sits proudly outside the legendary Islay distillery. During these troubling periods for the distillery, not much stock was kept back for the future. A few casks survived though, and it's these which make up this spectacular 23 year old release.

Matured in a mixture of Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.

The Parker's Heritage Collection from Heaven Hill is always highly anticipated, this is a 24 year old Kentucky Straight.  

This is the 10th edition of the Parker's Heritage Collection celebrates the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which required strict regulations to be adhered to in the production of whiskey at the time. These included the necessity of stating the site of distillation and bottling, the dates, and a strength of 100 US proof.

Heaven Hill are the supplier of the most number of bottled-in-bond products today, and this is one of those. The whiskey contains a dumping of bourbon casked in 1991 at the old Heaven Hill distillery in Bardstown, sadly lost in 1996.

Ardbeg 21 Year Old Committee Release 2016

Ardbeg Twenty One was exclusively available to members of the Ardbeg Committee, a members’ club of over 120,000 people created to ensure the distillery never closes again. 

The distillery closed twice during its history – in 1981 and 1996. Mickey Heads, Ardbeg Distillery manager and chairman of the Ardbeg Committee dedicated this release to the Committee Members saying  “Ardbeg Twenty One is a shining example of Ardbeg’s enduring spirit [and] I’m so pleased we can share it with our members.

This Ardbeg uses liquid distilled in the mid-90s, Prior to the time of its last closure. Heads said “The committee have invested much in ensuring the future of the distillery and it’s only right that they should share the rewards of its turbulent past too.

Released in June 2011, Ardbeg Alligator takes its name from the aggressive charring of the American casks the whisky was matured in. This charring level is known as the Alligator char because the cracking of the wood under the heat looks similar to the skin of an Alligator.

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
