Another 'Tun' release from Balvenie following the footsteps of Balvenie Tun 1401 and 1858.

This larger Tun can hold up to four times as much liquid as Tun 1401 and hence we expect a larger quantity of this release.  This release is a combination of 32 casks, 18 traditional American oak barrels, 5 american oak hogsheads, 7 European oak sherry butts and 2 sherry hogsheads. These were married in tun 1509 for several months before bottling.

Booker's 8 Year Old Small Batch Bourbon

This bourbon is hard to find outside of the USA, which is surprising considering everyone loves it.

This is eight years old and bottled at cask strength. The Booker's brand is a subsidiary of Jim Beam and was named after former master distiller, Booker Noe. His son Fred is now the current master distiller and echoes the reviewers sentiments, on record as having said, \"if you’re drinking Booker’s, you better have your pajamas on!” Beam claim the name is intended to evoke memories Noe Snr's favourite chair and big personality, but the whisky itself is clearly as big on character, with big vanilla notes, cornbread, oak, allspice and cinammon.

It's said to be Beam's long-term ambition to elevate Booker's to one of its high end premium brands, limiting its release schedule, so this is as good a time as any to stock up.

Bottle number 013367.

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.

Placing a Single Bid
