Ardbeg Perpetuum Distillery Release

As Ardbeg distillery turns 200 years old there will no doubt be a few new limited releases, starting with the Perpetuum.  

This is the distillery only release, it was available from the distillery shop and briefly online. 

The Distillery Release is restricted to around 12,000 bottles and has a higher ABV than the Bicentenary Release. 

Abhainn Dearg 2008 Inaugural Release

The first legal whisky produced on the Isle of Lewis and bottled as a 3 year old.

Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2011.Created from American oak, bourbon cask #6.

Only 2,011 bottles were produced and were individually signed by distillery owner Mark Tayburn. Bottle number 858 of 2011.

Arran Smugglers' Series Volume 2 / The High Seas

A very cool nod to the shady history of Arran's distilling. Back during the 18th and 19th century the island was a producer of illicit whisky. Presented in a book style package to hide the goods. This second release is specifically for the producers of the famed Arran Waters. 

The whisky itself is a peated spirit matured in rum casks and finished in first fill bourbon barrels.

One of 8,700 bottles. 

Arran Westie 'Icons of Arran'

The follow up to the Arran Rowan Tree and the third in the Icons of Arran series, this bottle depicts Ruaraidh, Arran's beloved westie.

Distilled in 1998, matured in 22 ex-sherry hogsheads and bottled in 2010, only 6,000 were released.

Ardnamurchan Spirit 2016/AD Limited Release No.1

Independent bottler Adelphi have opened their own distillery. 

This is their first bottling of newish new make spirit. The distillery is in Glenbeg on the far west of the Scottish mainland. 

The new make has been matured in 1st fill sherry casks (both Oloroso and PX) but they have not said how long for. 

One of 2500 bottles. 

Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter III           

Released in 2014, Arran’s third and final edition of the Devil's Punch Bowl

A vatting consisting of  21 casks; 8 of which are Oloroso sherry casks, 8 French Oak Barriques and 5 bourbon casks. Following Chapter one and two, only 6,660 bottles were released.

Auchroisk 1989 Cadenhead's 27 Year Old

Distilled in 1989, and bottled 27 years later in May 2016.

One of 360 bottles.

Amrut Single Cask Blackadder Sherry Finish

An indepentently bottled Peated Amrut from Blackadder. 

This single cask has been bottled at cask strength.

Bottle number 46 of 206. 

Auchriosk 1989 Cadenhead's 27 Year Old

Auchriosk used to be Diageo's introductory malt in the 1990s, before being discontinued.

This is a rare independant bottling by Cadenheads. 

Distilled 1989 and bottled at 27 years old in 2016.

Ardbeg 12 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #7

The label depicts Geert Bero reaching for the spirit purifier at Ardbeg.

Amaro Lucano 1.5 Litre 1960s

A bitter liqueur produced at some point in the 1960s in Italy.

Aberlour 15 Year Old Hand Filled Bourbon Cask

Available exclusively at Aberlour distillery.

Bottle number 307, this was bottled on 6th January 2015 from a single Bourbon cask, batch #A14.

Ardbeg Ardbog

Released as Ardbeg’s annual Feis Ile offering at the start of June, alongside Ardbeg distillery it was also released at Ardbeg Embassies. 

A vatting of 10 year old Ardbeg matured in bourbon casks with a ‘heart’ matured in Manzanilla sherry casks. 

Ardbeg 2000 Chieftain's 15 Year Old

Distilled in April 2000 this Ardbeg was bottled in July 2015 from casks #946 through #949 

One of 1123 bottles. 

Ardmore 20 Year Old SMWS 66.19 50cl / 26 Malts

Released as part of a collabortaion with SMWS and 26.

Auchentoshan 21 Year Old

The older style packaging of Auchentoshan 21 year old.

Arran The Eagle 'Icons of Arran' 

Drawn from a combination of 14 bourbon barrels and 7 sherry hogsheads, selected by Arran's Master Distiller James MacTaggart.

Only 6,000 bottles were released worldwide, the fourth in the Icon's of Arran series, chosen because of the pair of Golden Eagles nesting above Lochranza.

Ardmore 1986 100th Anniversary 12 Year Old

Famous for being the heart of the Teachers blend, Ardmore was rarely recognised as a single malt until recently. 

This 12 year old distilled in 1986 was bottled to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the distillery in 1999 (built in 1899). 

Please note sticker on the rear of the bottle.

Arran 1999 SMWS 16 Year Old 121.90

A Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling of Arran, known as 'Spiced Pear Planter's Punch'.

Distilled 31st July 1999 and bottled 16 years later from a single refill Ex-bourbon hogshead. 

One of 258 bottles.

Ardmore 1986 100th Anniversary 12 Year Old

Famous for being the heart of the Teachers blend, Ardmore was rarely recognised as a single malt until recently. 

This 12 year old distilled in 1986 was bottled to commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the distillery in 1999 (built in 1899).

Ardmore 2005 SMWS 10 Year Old 66.86

Distilled on the 21st of June 2005 and bottled 10 years later. 

One of only 264 bottles. 

Arran 18 Year Old 

The Arran range has been gradually getting older, now it's reach its 18 year milestone release.

This follows the success of their 16 and 17 year old whiskies, release annually prior to this bottle.

Now part of their core range.

Ardbeg Auriverdes

The new and shiny Ardbeg Auriverdes, launched on 31st May 2014 on 'Ardbeg Day' which coincides with the 'Ardbeg Day' with the Islay Festival.  

The Auriverdes (Auri = Gold, and Verdes = Green) is named after the Brazilian football team colours - given the release coincided with Brazil's hosting of the FIFA World Cup - and also refers to Ardbeg's iconic green bottle with the 'golden' whisky inside.

Arran 1999 Single Cask / Loch Fyne Whiskies Exclusive

Distilled in July 1999 and bottled in July 2010. 

Bottle number 82 of 219. 

Arran 1998 Private Cask 16 Year Old / Cold, Cold Winter

Distilled on 17th August 1998 and bottled on 9th December 2014 as a 16 Year Old.

Sherry Hogshead 1998/1111

Ardbeg 1991 Murray McDavid 11 Year Old

An independent Ardbeg distilled on the February 1991 and bottled on November 2002 after being matured in a Bourbon cask.
