Macallan 1938 Gordon and MacPhail 65 Year Old Speymalt

Macallan distilled in 1938 and bottled in 2004.

At 65 years old this is one of the oldest Macallan's bottled, incredibly well aged whisky that showcases the distillery's whisky produced nearly 80 years ago.

Macallan 1940 Speymalt Gordon and MacPhail

Distilled in 1940 and bottled in 2001. Between 60 and 61 years old this is another example of one oldest Macallan's available.

Macallan distilled in 1950 and bottled in 2006 - between 55 and 56 years old. 

Note label misprint, front label states 43%, back 40%.

Karuizawa 1981 Single Cask #158 / Sakura Cask - Only 45 Bottles

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim.

Another cracking single cask from Karuizawa, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2012 at 62.8%.

This is bottle number 13 of 45.

Saburomaru 1960 55 Year Old Japanese Single Malt

This is the oldest bottled Japanese whisky ever... 

Wakatsuru Shozou own Saburomaru Distillery, which has been producing limited amounts of whisky since 1952/3, This was distilled in 1960 and matured in a red wine cask with the characteristics of \"Port\" for 55 years.

The malt was heavily peated and distilled in a continuous still (By current Scotch Whisky Association rules this wouldn't be allowed to be called a single malt if produced in Scotland). 

One of only 155 bottles.

Laphroaig 1960 Vintage Reserve 40 Year Old

A vintage release of Laphroaig distilled in 1960 and bottled as a 40 year old. Laphroaig this age is incredibly rare!

Distilled in 1960 and presented with a certificate from distillery manager Iain Henderson, the casks were matured for 40 years in warehouse #1. This is the first release from Oddbins and the far more limited of the two. 

This is bottle 132 of 300.

Glenfiddich 30 Year Old Silver Stag's Head Decanter

An 1980s bottling of Glenfiddich 30 Year Old in a crystal decanter and presentation box. There is also a stopper with a hallmarked solid silver stags head.

A very elegant and ornate presentation that was ahead of its time.

Hanyu 1991 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #9001 / Jack of Clubs​

A single cask #9001 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt series of whiskies.

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a American oak sherry butt for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2006.

35 year old Karuizawa matured in sherry butt #7417.

Karuizawa 1970 Single Cask 42 Year Old #6177

A stunning vintage Karuizawa distilled in May 1970 and bottled in August 2012 from a single 450L ex-sherry cask #6177.

Only 312 bottles were released from this cask at a very impressive 64.3% (after 42 Years!)

Yamazaki 1984

Matured in native Japanese 'Mizunara' oak casks, as well as American and European. This whisky was named World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the 2011 World Whisky Awards.

A fantastic and very limited Noh bottling of Karuizawa, distilled in 1972 and bottled 32 years later from single sherry butt #4592 in 2010.

190 bottles were released.

It is amazing that we still see single casks of Karuizawa being released, this 1981 vintage was bottled in 2012 as a 31 year from a sherry cask.

Only 186 bottles were produced.

It is amazing that we still see single casks of Karuizawa being released, this 1981 vintage was bottled in 2013 as a 31 year from a sherry butt.

Only 94 bottles were produced.

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. 

This particular Karuizawa was distilled in 1971 and bottled on the 15^th January 2008.

Karuizawa 1976 Single Cask #7818 / Geisha

Another excellent example of a Geisha label, this one was an exclusive for Taiwan.

A stunning vintage Karuizawa distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2010 from a single sherry butt #7818.

Very interestingly, this bottle appears to have an unusual labelling mistake as the front label states 750ml, while the back label states 0.7, and we are unaware of any 75cl bottles other than those which were US imports - of which we know this was not.  However, the authenticity of this bottle we are sure of, as we can attest to its provinence; also, other known-genuine bottles from this bottling have same front/back label mismatch.

Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac Tres Vieille 1950s

Remy Martin is perhaps the most well known of all Cognac producers and has established a reputation for quality that very few others can relate to.

This is a spectacular 1950s example of the Louis XIII Tres Vieille Cognac Baccarat decanter which holds Grande Champagne cognac aged between 40 and 100 years.

Please note that this item is very old and hence very fragile. Lot is sold as photographed, please note fill level. 

Ardbeg 1972 Single Cask 31 Year Old #2780 Ping No.1

An incredibly rare single cask Ardbeg, distilled on 27th October 1972 and bottled at over 31 years old on 14th October 2004, from single cask #2780, a bourbon hogshead.

Known as Ping No.1, this release was part of a 4 bottle 'Ping Project' series bottled for established Danish Wine, Beer & Spirits Store, Juul's Vin & Spiritus. This bottle celebrates the 30th anniversary of employee Michael Madsen, whose nickname was 'Ping'.

Each bottling was released in a season of 2005. No.1 was Spring.

A stunning vintage Karuizawa distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2009 after maturing for 32 years in single Sherry Butt #6719.

Karuizawa Cask Strength Selection 4 x 70cl

This cask strength series of Karuizawa was exclusively released to the Taiwanese market, this includes all four releases.

The cask strength series is a combination of sherry casks from 1999 and 2000 all bottled at 61.7%.

Bottled from cask number #6056, as usual with Karuizawa sherry matured and carrying a high abv.

Ardbeg 1976 Single Cask 22 Year Old #2391

A 22 Year old single sherry cask matured Ardbeg distilled in November 1976 then bottled in June 1999.
