Against The Grain 1990 \"Raison D'Etre\" 18 Year Old

An independant bottling from the legendary wine merchant, Oddbin's.  The Against the Grain series consisted of 9 bottles from distilleries they 'tried' to keep secret, this Wax and Wane is likely to be from Blair Athol.

Distilled on 22nd June 1990 and bottled on 25 September 2008 as a 18 year old, matured exclusively in a refill Bourbon cask.

Balvenie 12 Year Old Double Wood

The Double Wood is a malt which gains its distinctive character and name from being matured in two wood types.

During maturation it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill European oak sherry cask. 

This particular bottle comes with an attractive cooper finish tin.

The back label states that there are over 2000 blends of Scotch Whisky, that you should choose wisely and that choice should be Bells. 

We estimate that this bottle was produced in the 1960s.
