Macallan 1949 Millennium 50 Year Old

An amazing bottle of whisky, released by Macallan to commemorate the turn of the millennium.   This whisky is among the most desirable and sought after whiskies on the market, it represents the most luxurious of Macallan, not only in presentation and quality, but also in rarity and age.

Distilled on 14th January 1949 and released as a 50 year old, presented in an elegant decanter designed by Caithness Glass along with a stopper and an impressive 'fitted' lockable hard wood case.  The copper used for the ingot and neck were retrieved from No.9 spirit still at Macallan distillery.

Includes an unregistered certificate and key, this is one of 900 bottles released.

There are a few minor scratches to the wood, please see images.

Hanyu 1985 Ace of Spades Single Cask #9308

Perhaps the second most talked about bottle within Ichiro Akuto's famous Card Series of whiskies.  The Ace of Spades was released in 2006 and comes from a traditional oak cask that was re-racked into a single Spanish oak sherry butt #9308 before bottling in 2006.

Distilled in 1985 and bottled as a 21 year old, this highly sought after edition was limited to only 300 bottles, this is bottle number 50.

Bowmore 1965 Premier Range 42 Year Old

A 1965 vintage sherry cask matured Bowmore... 1960s Sherry Cask Bowmore Vintages come highly recommended by those lucky enough to try them. 

This one was bottled for Travel Retail at Heathrow's Terminal Five in 2008.

This is bottle number 46 of 57 bottles. 

Please note the leather presentation case is in very good condition, however there is wear to the outer cardboard box as shown in the fifth picture of the listing.

Karuizawa 1974 The Gold Geisha 40 Year Old Cask # 3626

We love receiving new and exciting bottles of Karuizawa, this one is heads and tails above the rest in many ways.  

Aged for an impressive 40 years, the 'Gold Geisha' bottling was distilled in 1974 and bottled in 2014, presented in a beautiful hard wooden lockable case.

This stunning whisky is the last cask from the 1974 vintage of Karuizawa, cask #3626 which yielded only 392 bottles.

Bowmore 1964 White Bowmore 43 Year Old

The second in this famous series, the White Bowmore was matured strictly in bourbon casks, to create a comparison to the more famous Oloroso casks

Karuizawa 1971 Geisha Single Cask #7267

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim.  This particular Karuizawa was distilled in 1971 and bottled in 2012. This was matured in sherry butt #7267.

Karuizawa 2000 Single Cask #2339 distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2015 after maturation is a sherry cask. 61.1%, One of 225 bottles.

Karuizawa 2000 Single Cask #7221 distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2016 after maturation is a sherry cask. 59.0%. One of 367 bottles.

Distilled 1999 and bottled 2015, This is from Single Sherry Cask #2332 and bottled at a cask strength of 58.5%. 

Distilled 1999 and bottled 2016, This is from Single Sherry Cask #895 and bottled at a cask strength of 58.5%.

Hanyu 1990 Queen of Hearts Single Cask #9102 

The Queen of Hearts was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006.

Matured in a traditional hogshead before a second period of maturation in a french oak cognac wood, cask # 9102.

This bottle is only number 22 of 324.

Yamazaki 1984

Matured in native Japanese 'Mizunara' oak casks, as well as the American and European ones. This whisky was named World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the 2011 World Whisky Awards.

Bottle number 1920.

Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac Tres Vieille 1960s

Remy Martin is perhaps the most well known of all Cognac producers and has established a reputation for quality that very few others can relate to.

This is a spectacular 1960s example of the Louis XIII Tres Vieille Cognac Baccarat decanter which holds Grande Champagne cognac aged between 40 and 100 years.

Please note that this item is very old and hence very fragile. Lot is sold as photographed. There are no visible measurements on this bottle.

Glenfiddich 1959 Private Vintage 

A stunning single cask bottling of 1959 vintage, which was selected by Glenfiddich's Malt Master and hand bottled on 9th August 2006 after over 46 years of maturation.

Presented in a crafted cherry wood case with certificate, this is bottle number 37.

Hanyu 1991 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #9001 / Jack of Clubs​

A single cask #9001 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt series of whiskies.

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a American oak sherry butt for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2006.

Karuizawa 1974 Single Cask 31 Year Old #4578

A vintage cask Karuizawa distilled in 1974 and bottled on the 27th of March 2006. 

A 31 year old bottled at a strong 65.7% volume.

Karuizawa 31 Year Old Single Sherry Cask #3555

A 31 year old single sherry cask matured Karuizawa that was one of two Karuizawas released at the 2013 Whisky Show London.

While there was 350 of the Bourbon bottling, this a sherry matured release was much more limited at only 108 bottles.

Distilled in 1956, this stunning old Macallan was bottled by Campbell, Hope and King, Elgin at 80 proof.

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days.

This single cask was distilled in 1986 and matured in a Mizunara butt #6G5029 until bottling in 2006. This was bottled for the 50th Anniversary of La Maison Du Whisky.

Macallan 1965 / The Macallan Decanter 25 Year Old

An absolutely beautifully presented Macallan Decanter, distilled in 1965 and bottled at 25 years old.

The hand blown, English crystal decanter is often referred to as the 'Tudor Decanter'.  The writing on the decanter is difficult to make out on the images but carries a large 'M'.

Includes a well designed branded Macallan box and crystal stopper, on which the vintage 1965 is displayed.

Ardbeg 1967 Signatory Vintage 28 Year Old

A legendary vintage of Ardbeg, this bottle was awarded a stunning 96 points by whiskyfun.com, one of the highest marks ever given to an Arbeg!

Distilled on 15th February 1967 and matured in a single oloroso sherry butt # 574 for 28 years before bottling in November 1995 by Signatory Vintage.  

This is bottle number 340 of 488.

Hanyu 1990 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #9032 / Ten of Clubs​

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2008 from single cask #9032.

Matured in a hogshead and finished in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butt
