Macallan 1940

There were very very few distillery operational distilleries during World War Two which makes this bottle of Macallan exceptionally rare.  

Distilled in 1940 and bottled by Gordon and Macphail for Pro Nobilitate Ebert Hainzl Co, Hamburg

A very rare and hugely popular edition of Macallan 30 year old, released in the eye catching bright blue box with blue and gold labelling. 

The bottle and box is in excellent condition.

Macallan 1957 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old 75cl

A legendary release from Macallan, bottled in 1983 and distilled in 1957.

As the label reads 'A special bottling of unblended single highland malt scotch whisky over 25 years old'.

Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak

The incredibly desirable and elusive Macallan 30 year old sherry oak, spends it's entire maturation period within Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.

This recent release from Macallan carries Whisky Tint #26, signed by Bob Dalgarno.

Hanyu 2000 ‘The Game’

This is a bottle from a Japanese food and spirits importer called Shinanoya exclusively for the Japanese market.

In 2012 at the Tokyo Whisky Festival, Shinanoya presented this new bottling of Hanyu 2000, bottled for their 5th Anniversary. This is the third release in their acclaimed The Game series which contains Hanyu from the final year that the distillery was producing.

The spirit has been finished for three and a half years in an highly unusual hogshead with Red Oak ends. Red Oak (Quercus Rubra) is rarely used for whisky casks because the wood has very open pores in the growth rings so casks have a tendency to leak.

Macallan 1979 Gran Reserva 18 Year Old

The Gran Reserva Macallan’s were release between 1997 and 2002. Distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1997, this 18 year old Macallan is widely regarded as one of the most memorable and legendary ever bottled.

Macallan 1965 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old

A stunning example of Macallan 25 year old,  distilled in 1965 and bottled in 1990,  25 years later.

Matured exclusively in sherry wood.

Macallan Diamond Jubilee

Released in 2012 this specially designed bottle bears a unique image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by the sculptor Arnold Martin.

The contents of this bottle were specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen's accession and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated.  Bottled at 52% in line with the year of the Queen's accession, only 2,012 bottles were released.

Highland Park 40 Year Old

First released in April 2008, this is a delicious older offering from Scotland's Northern most distillery. 

The packaging is exquisite with glassware produced by Stölzle Flaconnage and a beautifully crafted wooden box produced by Mount Gabriel.

Macallan 1964 Bottled 1981 75cl

A bottle of Macallan distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1981, this is a stunning example of Macallan distilled 50 years ago.

Hanyu Ichiro's Malt The Joker 'Colour'

The 54th and final bottling in Ichiro's Card Series.

There are two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White.  This particular bottling is the Colour Joker, a vatting of 14 casks covering vintages from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 2000.  The casks used for this final bottling include a sherry butt, puncheon, hogshead, Cognac, chibidaru, Madeira hogshead and bourbon.

Only 3,690 bottles of this highly anticipated whisky have been made available.

Distilled in 1969 and then matured in American oak for 35 years.

Highland Park 1977 Bicentenary / Japanese Edition

The 21 year old bicentenary release was thought to be sold out in 1997, however in 2008 they discovered hundreds of bottles in a Japanese warehouse. 

A quick repackage later and this fantastic bottling was released.

Hibiki 17 and 21  Year Old Mount Fuji 1st Edition

To Commemorate Mount Fuji the highest peak in Japan getting added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 2013, Suntory released this special edition. 

The Hibiki whose bottle always has  24 facets representing the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar has been redecorated with a painting of a scenic view of Mount Fuji. 

This lot comprises a bottle of the 17 and 21 year old within this limited edition bottle and packaging design.

Macallan 1996 Easter Elchies 2013

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery.  This was released over two days in November and December 2013 to incredibly high demand and a number of unhappy customers.

Distilled in 1996 and matured until 2013, this 17 year old single sherry butt #26 yielded 390 bottles.340 were sold at the distillery, the other 50 were presumably sold to staff.

Macallan Coronation

The latest in the Macallan royal bottlings, this release from June 2013 consists of two 35cl bottles with a box designed by David Holmes. One bottle depicts the queen from 1953, matured solely in American oak sherry seasoned casks, while the other matured in Spanish sherry seasoned casks.   Only 1,953 boxes were produced to convey the date of the coronation in 1953.

Only available on Macallan’s website or at the distillery this quickly became one of the fastest selling releases of 2013.

Highland Park 1974 34 Year Old Ambassadors Cask #5

The fifth single cask release from Highland Park within the Ambassador Cask series, a range where brand ambassador Gerry Tosh selected the best casks. 

Cask #8845, distilled in July 1974, matured in a refill sherry hogshead and then bottled 34 years later at 41.5%

One of only 228 bottles.

Macallan 1997 Easter Elchies 2010 Including Miniature

The 2010 Easter Elchies bottling was from a single sherry butt cask #432, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2010.

Also included is a miniature of from the same cask.

Macallan 1999 Easter Elchies 2012

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery.  

Distilled in 1999 and matured until 2012, this 13 year old single sherry butt #6697 yielded 400 bottles.

Bottled under Gordon and Macphail's Speymalt banner, this Macallan was distilled in 1966 and bottled 32 years later in 1998.

These independant old Macallan's are a bargain compared to their official release counter parts.

D Antonia A Ferreira Garrafeira 1834 Vinho Porto

One of the famous vintages from the nineteenth century.

This vintage is linked to the Ferreira family; In October 1834 Dona Antonia Adelaide Ferreira marries the son namesake António Bernardo Ferreira in Chapel Farm Travassos in Loureiro. Both only children, the couple were to inherit the concentrated wealth of the two strongest branches of the family, a fact that would prove decisive to consolidate, under the name of D. Antonia.  This would evolve into the World famous port producing Ferriera empire.

his wine was the protagonist of a dramatic but fascinating episode: in 1887, the Swedish explorer Auguste Andrée, along with two companions, decided to cross the North Pole in a balloon. On 14 July, the balloon fell to the Arctic, amazingly they survived and the they made a feast in a floating ice sheet. The main course was yummy seagull breast,alongside abottle of Vintage Port \"D. Antonia Ferreira \"1834 which had been offered by the King of Sweden. Unfortunately, the adventurers did not survive to tell his experience but a Norwegian expedition found, 33 years later, their bodies and, diaries and some photographic material.

Highland Park 1967

Bottled in 1991 this is a fantastic example of Highland Park distilled in the 1960s, presented in this attractive black box inlaid with a map of the Orkney isles.

Only 2,000 of the 1967 Highland Park were released.

Highland Park Eunson's Legacy

This bottle was released in 1998 to celebrate the distillery's bicentenary. Entitled 'The Dram the Team built' the Eunson's Legacy was only given to employees of Highland Park and the Highland Distillers at the time.

Named after Magnus Eunson, the founder of Highland Park distillery.
