Giovinetti & Figli
Giovinetti & Figli was the second company from Armando Giovinetti, the legendary wine and spirits importer. Armando had successfully turned Glen Grant into the best-selling single malt brand in Italy and is credited as one of the founding fathers of the country's love affair with category.
Established in 1982, Giovinetti & Figli became the Italian agent for Macallan two years later. It also went on to own Janneau armagnac in 1993 and launched its own blended malt brand called Mackessack before being restructured as Giovinetti Partners by Armando's son, Fabio. The company merged its distribution operations into Fratelli Rinaldi in 2008 and is no longer trading.
