Springbank 50 Year Old Millennium Limited Edition

An older expression from this Campbeltown classic. This was bottled in September 1999 for the Millennium as part of a range of 6 bottles. 

The set comprised whiskies bottled at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years. 

Springbank 1958 Duthie for Corti 75cl / US Import​

Distilled in way back in 1958, this is a stunning bottling of Springbank!

Bottled in 1983 by R.W Duthie & Co of Aberdeen, this was for the Corti Brothers of Sacramento and Narsai's Restaurant. 

Springbank 1966 Local Barley 32 Year Old #492

Springbank produced several 'Local Barley' bottlings from the mid 1960's, all of which have reached legendary status.

Distilled in February 1966 and bottled in April 1998 after being matured in bourbon cask number #1966 492.

Springbank 1964 Adelphi 32 Year Old 

A 1964 vintage Springbank from independent bottlers Adelphi. This was bottled in 1996 at 32 years of age and has spent all its life in a dark sherry cask, creating this gorgeous treacle colour!

Adelphi has a rich history, operating as a distillery in the Gorbals district of Glasgow from 1825, producing spirit from the waters of Loch Katrine. The distillery ceased production in the early 20th century however and several change sin ownership culminating in a takeover by Distillers Company Ltd in 1902. The Adelphi name was revived in 1993 by Jamie Walker, great-grandson of former distillery owner Archibald. With a lineage of whisky expertise he operated Adelphi as private bottling company, which now in the hands of Keith Falconer and David Houston, continues the fine work he began of bottling top quality expressions from Scotland's finest distilleries. This Springbank is yet another fine example of this.

Springbank produced several 'Local Barley' bottlings from the mid 1960s, all of which have reached legendary status.

Distilled in February 1966 and bottled February 1997 after being matured in an oak sherry cask number #1966 477

Bottle No. 186

The particular release does not have the well known 'Local Barley' title located anywhere on the label.

The set comprised whiskies bottled at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years.

Strathisla 1937 Gordon and MacPhail / Fiori Ferdinando Import

Distilled in 1937 at Strathisla distillery and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail.

Imported to the Italian market at some point in the late 1970's or 1980's by Fiori Ferdinando.

Shinsu Mars Komagatake 1986 Sherry Cask 30 Year Old

A very rare single cask release from The Shinsu Mars distillery, which stopped production in 1992. Shinsu Mars restarted production recently in 2011.

This was distilled in February 1986 and bottled in June 2016, after being matured in a sherry cask. 

One of only 619 bottles. 

Uniting Nations 40 Year Old The Essence of Karuizawa / Ichiro Akuto Blended Malt

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

This limited bottling was blended by Ichiro Akuto, this is a combination of a 40 year old Scottish malt and 45 year old Karuizawa. 

One of 677 bottles produced

Suntory release of blended whiskies apparently including Sherry casked whiskies from Hakushu, Chita and Yamazaki from as far back as 1984.

Strathisla 1954 Gordon and MacPhail

Distilled over 60 years ago in 1954, this 42 year old Strathisla was bottled by Gordon and MacPhail in 1996.

It is becoming increasingly difficult, almost impossible to find vintage whiskies these days. Thankfully over the years Gordon and MacPhail have released bottles like this, a great old Speysider distilled over half a century ago.

Rosebank 1981 Rare Malt 20 Year Old / 62.3%

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic collection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Rosebank was distilled in 1981 and bottled in the May 2002 release, at another impressive ABV of 62.3%.

Rosebank 1990 21 Year Old 

Rosebank is a sorely missed lowland malt but occasionally Diageo has a Special Release. There were just 5,604 numbered bottles released worldwide. This was aged in refill American oak and refill European oak casks, a must have official bottle from this lost classic.

Suntory Blended Whisky Limited Edition / Wa-Kyo

This 2015 release is a special exclusive Suntory release for classy Japanese supermarket Shinanoya. 

Included in the blend are old mizunara casked Yamazaki going back as far as 1984. 

The logo was designed by famed Japanese calligrapher Master Shoshu.
