Caol Ila 1977 Rare Malt 20 Year Old 75cl / 61.30%

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Caol Ila was distilled in 1977 and bottled in the October 1998 release, again at a high abv of 61.30%. This is a particularly rare, Rare Malt.

Talisker 1955 Gordon MacPhail Secret Stills No. 1.1​

As with the rest of the Secret Stills range the distillery is at which this single malt was produced is a feircly guarded secret.. They do, however, offer a clue that it was distilled at Carbost on the Isle of Skye. Will we ever solve this mystery?

This Talis... *AHEM* secret Skye malt, was distilled in 1955 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail circa 50 years later in 2005.

At half a century old, this is a genuine rarity.

Please note condition of lot as shown, including rust around lid.

Distilled in the early 1970s at Brora, this legendary Clynelish was imported by Whiskyteca Edward & Edward in Italy in the 1980's. Bottled at 56.8%.

This particular bottling was rated a very good 93 points from Serge Valentin on Whiskyfun.com

A stunning example of Clynelish bottled by Ainslie and Heilbron, now considered to be quite legendary as bottlings of this was likely produced at the old Clynelish distillery, now more commonly known as Brora.

The Last Drop 1960 Blended Whisky

A cask strength blend of a truly amazing age. Distilled in 1960, it was blended and decanted into fresh sherry butts in 1972 where it was left to rest and mature until 2008 when it was bottled by hand. By this point less than half of the original contents remained, leaving only enough for 1347 bottles.

Many of the malts that comprise this blend come from now silent distilleries.

This was named Blend of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2010.

Complete with stopper and 5cl miniature.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
