Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 23 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
This gold wax-topped, green-glass bottle version of the 23-year-old was the first of its kind. It was produced in 1998 by Julian Van Winkle III at his Commonwealth Distillery Co in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Unlike later examples of this product which were wheated Stitzel-Weller whiskey, the bourbon contained here is a rye-recipe example from the Old Boone distillery.
