Ardnamurchan
Ardnamurchan distillery opened in 2014 and is one of the most westerly on the Scottish mainland, located on the peninsula from which it takes its name in Lochaber in the Scottish Highlands. It is owned by the revered independent bottlers-turned-distillers, Adelphi Distillery Ltd.
Ardnamurchan produces both peated and non-peated single malts, bottling both individually as well as blending the two to offer a variety of styles.
The Ardnamurchan brand debuted in 2016 when the distillery launched its first bottling, a 2-year-old single malt spirit that sold out overnight upon release. Three subsequent Ardnamurchan Spirit releases were to follow (one each year) before the distillery's inaugural single malt was released in 2020.
The proprietary Ardnamurchan expression was introduced in 2022 and is called AD/. It is blend of its peated and non-peated production, however singular examples of both have been available through its regular single cask bottlings. Each of the distillery's limited releases is labelled with a code beginning "AD/" followed by the date of bottling and, in some instances, a batch number.
