Annandale
Annandale is an independently-owned single malt distillery in the Lowland region of Scotland. Although the site has a centuries-long distilling heritage dating back to 1830, the modern distillery only opened in 2014 having been rebuilt by David Thomson and Teresa Church.
Annandale produces both peated and non-peated single malts alongside a spirit drink brand called Rascally Liquor.
Launched in 2018, the Annandale single malt brand is usually divided into two sub-brands: its Man o' Sword peated single malts and its Man o' Words non-peated single malts. Examples of both were included within its inaugural release.
The distillery's current offering sees releases of both Man o' Sword and Man o' Words whiskies releases as single casks within both the Annandale Vintage and Founders' Selection collections. As of 2022, bottlings of both single malt styles are also released to owners of private cask-shares under the Annandale Portfolio label.
