Usher's is one of the original blended Scotch whisky brands and is currently part of the Diageo portfolio. It was introduced in the 19th century by Andrew Usher & Co with the launch of Old Vatted Glenlivet shortly after blending casks in bond was legalised in 1853.
The majority of examples of Usher's blends date to the 20th century and were mostly produced by J&G Stewart, with whom Andrew Usher & Co were merged when acquired by the Distillers Company Limited in 1919. The most common expression were Green Stripe and Old Vatted.
