Andrew Usher & Co was an important 19th century Scotch whisky company founded in 1813. The company is credited as pioneering the art of blending whisky and launched its Old Vatted Glenlivet brand in 1853. It was also among the first to begin blending malt and grain whiskies together and was a co-founder of the North British distillery in 1887.
The Distillers Company Limited acquired Andrew Usher & Co in 1919, merging it into J&G Stewart who took over their brands. Today a pub called Andrew Usher & Co exists in the company's historic home on West Nicholson Street in Edinburgh.
