Glenordie
Glenordie is one of the several different single malt brands that have been marketed by the various owners and licensees of the Glen Ord distillery over the years. It was introduced by John Dewar & Sons in 1982 when the Distillers Company Limited (DCL) transferred the license for the distillery to them from Peter Dawson. The company sold Glenordie as a 12-year-old and and also produced a 5-year-old expression for their Italian agent, Wax & Vitale.
When DCL was merged into United Distillers in 1987, the distillery licenses and brands were recalled from the blenders and Glenordie was discontinued.
