Craigellachie
A malt distillery in Speyside that has been owned by Bacardi Limited through its John Dewar & Sons division since 1998. Its malt has traditionally been highly-prized by blenders, with focus on its single malt brand very much only a development of recent decades.
First Cask (UK)
The First Cask label was a brand of independent bottlings of single malt and single grain Scotch whisky. It was owned and distributed by Direct Wines Ltd, and the casks and bottling were supplied by Signatory Vintage. It was introduced in 1992 and bottled intermittently for the next two decades.
Direct Wines
The Direct Wines group is one of the largest wine retailers in the world, with locations in the UK, Europe, US and Australia. It is notable in the whisky industry for its ownership of the First Cask brand of independent Scotch whisky bottlings and also markets a blended malt called Old Harry.
