A distillery with a turbulent history, punctuated by numerous ownership changes. It is currently part of the Pure Scot Ltd holdings of Australian entrepreneur and yoghurt mogul, David Prior. Although historically operated for the provision of blends, it is now focussed on its single malt brand.
Wemyss Malts
Wemyss Malts is the flagship independent bottling brand of Wemyss Family Spirits. It was introduced in 2005 and its portfolio includes single cask Scotch whiskies alongside a variety of blended malts.
*Wemyss Vintage Malts
An independent bottling and blending company established in 2005 by William and Isabella Wemyss. Its flagship brand was known as Wemyss Malts and it offered both blended malts and single cask whiskies. It was rebranded as Wemyss Family Malts in 2020.
