Akashi The Battle of Divinity
This is a trio of single cask bottlings, collected as The Battle of Divinity. The release was a sequel to the Taiwan-specific Flying Tiger release, this time selected by the Shin Group, Connoisseur Society, Tiger's Selection and Built to Last.
The set contains three different whiskies bottled at cask strength:
- Akashi 2016 4 Year Old First-Fill ex-Bourbon cask #101670 61% 70cl one of 204 bottles
- Akashi 2014 6 Year Old PX Sherry Finish #101720 62% 70cl one of 204 bottles
- Akashi 2016 4 Year Old Red Wine FInish #61959 62% 70cl one of 204 bottles
Eigashima
A malt whisky distillery located in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan. Opened in 1984, it is owned by Eigashima Shuzo, a historic sake producer that first obtained a whisky license in 1919. Originally known as White Oak, the distillery was renamed in 2019 and markets its single malt as Akashi.
Akashi
A Japanese whisky brand introduced in 2007 by Eigashima Shuzo Co. It was originally devised as a means of differentiating its single malt produced at Eigashima (formerly White Oak) distillery from its blends, however now encompasses both categories.
