Ardbeg Auriverdes Gold Edition

The new and shiny Ardbeg Auriverdes, launched on 31st May 2014 on 'Ardbeg Day' which coincides with the 'Ardbeg Day' with the Islay Festival.  

A very rare bottle, this Auriverdes was never made available to the public, it was only given to Journalists, Bloggers and Distillery Ambassadors before the official release at the end of May 2014.

The Auriverdes (Auri = Gold and Verdes = Green) is named after the Brazilian sports teams colours whilst also referring to Ardbeg's iconic green bottle and the 'golden' whisky inside.  

This particular example come with an interesting bottle stand and a Medium Ardbeg Day 2015 T-Shirt (Which lights up!). 

Dalmore 30 Year Old 2015 Release

The most recent release of Dalmore, released last year in 2015.  

This 30 year old whisky was created from whiskies matured in Matusalem Oloroso and Amoroso Oloroso sherry butts from Gonzalez Byass.

Taketsuru 25 Year Old

A very rare bottling of Taketsuru, originally introduced in 2012 this blended malt contains casks from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.

It is extremely limited and only 120 bottles were available throughout Europe, this bottle was released in Asia. 

Domaine De Baraillon Bas Armagnac 1924

Bas Armagnac, has over the years produced some of the regions finest brandy.

Located on the western side of the region, it's distinctve soil contributes to the overall taste and smell of the brandy.

Tony Koerhl Series Creative Whisky Company 4 x 70cl

This collection is called  \"Sketch the soul\" Series by Tony Koehl. They were bottled by the Creative Whisky Company.

The range contains four bottles

• A 20 year old Caperdonich distilled on the 2nd of October 1992 and matured in cask 121137. One of 300 bottles.
• A 17 Year Old Imperial distilled on 22nd May 1995. One on 279 bottles,
• A 23 year old little mill Littlemill distilled in December 1990 and then matured in single cask number 36. One of 176 bottles.
• A 22 year old Glen Keith distilled in 1991 then bottled in 2013. Drawn from single cask number 73663,  which yielded 188 bottles.

Aberlour 1966 Single Cask 30 Year Old

A 30 year old Aberlour matured in two Sherry butts and one bourbon hogshead.

Dalwhinnie 1966 36 Year Old

Released within the original super premium release from Diageo, back in 2002, this Dalwhinnie was distilled in 1966 and bottled at an astonishing 36 years old - substantially older than any previous official Dalwhinnie releases.

Limited to only 1,500 bottles this 36 year old is rumoured to be an exceptional bottling.

Dalmore River Series 2011 Release / Dee, Spey, Tay and Tweed Drams 4 x 70cl

The Rivers Collection was released in 2011 following the success of the original Dee Dram released in 2010 - a 12 year old limited edition released to raise funds for the river Dee Salmon Trust. 

The Dee Dram

The River Dee is revered the world over for its picturesque beauty, clean crisp waters and of course its exceptional salmon fishing.

The Spey Dram

The River Spey is world-renowned as a classic Salmon fishing river which runs through the heart of Scotland's malt whisky country.

The Tweed Dram

The Tweed is the most prolific Salmon river in the British Isles, flowing through the historic borders.

The Tay Dram

The mighty river Tay, is the largest of Scotland's great Salmon rivers, the 'Silvery Tay' is steeped in fishing legends.

In recognition of the various trusts a donation was made to the Tay Foundation, Tweed Foundation, Spey Foundation and Dee Trust when these bottles were originally on the market.

The Drunken Master Blended Malt Whisky Agency / Art Taiwan - Beijing Opera Facial Masks 2 x 70cl​

A joint bottling between the Art Taiwan and the Mash Tun Tokyo by The Whisky Agency.

This lot comprises of two full 70cl whiskies bottled by the Drunken Master. 

A 35 year old blended malt distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2015, alongside a 1992 Burnside bottled in 2015.

\"Burnside\" is Balvenie that has been \"teaspooned\" with Glenfiddich. This practice allowed brand protective Single malt producers to sell casks for blending purposes but ensure that they were not released as independent bottlings.

Released in 2009 to members of the Ardbeg Committee, the original Ardbeg Supernova was peated to 100 ppm.

In comparison to the following released only 2,400 bottles of this were produced!

Ardbeg Very Young 1998

The first in Ardbeg’s \"Young\" series on their \"path to peaty maturity\", tracing Ardbeg’s path to their new 10 year old. 

It was bottled in 2004.

Taketsuru 17 Year Old

This blend range is named after Nikka founder and key member of the birth of Japanese whisky, Masataka Taketsuru.

This blended malt was released in 2012.

Teeling 1988 Centenary Collection 24 Year Old

This limited release Teeling bottle to mark the Centenary of the start of World War 1, this is the inaugural release which will be followed by further releases each year until 2018.

A single cask from 1988 was chosen which yielded 250 bottles.Cask #10514.

Ardbeg 1974 Signatory Vintage 8 Year Old

A wonderful old Ardbeg from the mid-1970s, bottled by Signatory Vintage - oh how times have changed.

Distilled on 22nd February 1974 and bottled on 23rd February 1998 from cask numbers #665 and #667

Released in 2008, this is a 30 year old Talisker limited to only 2970 bottles.

Ardbeg 1978 Gordon and MacPhail 

Bottled by Gordon and MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice collection, this colourful Ardbeg was distilled in 1978 and bottled in 1999. 

Teeling 23 Year Old Vintage Reserve / Silver Bottling

A recent release from Teeling, this 2015 distillery bottling was matured for 23 years.

Single cask #6879 yielded 340 bottles, this is bottle 140.

Dallas Dhu 1975 Rare Malt 21 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Released at a natural cask strength of 61.9%, distilled in 1975 and bottled in April 1997.

Taketsuru 21 Year Old 80th Anniversary

This blend range is named after Nikka founder and key member of the birth of Japanese whisky, Masataka Taketsuru.

This blended malt was released to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Nikka, which was established in 1934.

Only 984 bottles were released.

Talisker 1975 25 Year Old / First Release

The Talisker 25 year old is eagerly awaited annually, this is the original first release, bottled in 2001.

Distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2001 this is bottle number 1,845 of 6,000.

Dalmore 1997 Distillery Exclusive 2016 Bourbon Finesse

This very limited single cask bottling was only available at Dalmore distillery.  The spirit was created by Richard Paterson to showcase the exceptional ex-bourbon casks used for maturing Dalmore whiskies.  

This expression was created by moving the spirit through three different bourbon casks each one hand selected by Richard.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan Committee Reserve

Named after the famous whirlpool to the north of Islay, this release of Corryvreckan was only available to Ardbeg Committee members prior to its repackaging and official release in 2008.Bottled on the 19th March 2008, only 5000 bottles were released.

The Ardberg Distillery lies on the most Southernly part of Islay and on the rugged shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Ardberg is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex whisky of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat: rather the peat gives way to the malt, the natural sweetness of which subtly intrudes, producing perfect balance.  

Talisker 25 Year Old 2004 Release

Released within Diageo's 'Superpremium' editions, Talisker 25 year old has been bottled a number of times, this particular bottle is from the 2004 release.
