Lochside 1965 Gordon and MacPhail 20 Year Old

Lochside was founded in 1957, however single malt examples only date from the early/mid 1960s and also from the early 1980s. The reason for this is that the distillery was purchased by Destilerias Y Crianza del Whisky S.A (also known as DYC) in 1973, and production was used entirely for export blends within their portfolio. During DYC's ownership the distillery only produced malt whisky, however it had previously produced grain as well.

Bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their long-running Connoisseurs Choice range.

Laphroaig 17 Year Old The Savoy Collection / Edition 2

Many decades ago, The Savoy created a range of spirits bottled exclusively for the hotel to be enjoyed by the most loyal guest and discerning imbibers of the time. These spirits were savoured in The Savoy's world famous bar and were often shipped abroad or bought home as the most special memento of their stay. It's nopt the kind of place you simply steal the toilettries from.

In 2013 The Savoy revived this tradition with the launch of a most prestigious collection of unique spirits, bottled and presented to reflect the outstanding quality that has been The Savoy's trademark for over 124 years.

This Edition II release is a 17 year old from Islay's Laphroaig distillery, following on from Edition I which was a Macallan.

Lakes Genesis / Bottle #009

The whisky has been matured first in Oloroso hogsheads and then finished in casks made of European and American oak. Finally, these whiskies were married together in Orange wine casks from the Andalusia region of Spain. In order to highlight the full spectrum of flavours that this has produced, the whisky has been bottled at cask strength.

The first 101 bottles of this new distillery's inaugural single malt are presented in a stunning glass decanter style bottle, packed neatly into a beautiful rosewood box. This is a whisky that does justice to its Scottish heritage, in a presentation that does justice to the craftsmanship of a region which is, undoubtedly, at the genesis of a true whisky heritage of its own.

Every bottle comes hand-numbered and hand-signed with a certificate of authenticity from The Lakes' master Blender, Dhavall Gandhi.
