  A Taiwan and American exclusive, this is the first 'Edition' release which has been matured in 58% Butts, 23% Hogsheads and 19% Puncheons. 48%

  The second release is a collaboration between Bob Dalgarno and the Roca Brothers who run the world famous El Celler De Can Roca Restaurant in Catalonia, Spain. 48.2%
• Macallan Edition No.3
  Released in 2017, this third edition has been created in conjunction with Roja Dove, a highly respected 'nose' in the perfume industry. No. 3 is a blend of 3 types of cask bottled at 48.3%
• Macallan Edition No.4
  The 2018 release  was intended to celebrate the design and craftsmanship involved in the new Macallan distillery which opened that year. Packaged in green to evoke the turf covered roof of the spectacular new site. 48.4%
• Macallan Classic Cut 2017 Release
  This is the 2017 release of the Macallan Classic Cut, initially an exclusive release for the US market but now more generally available. Matured in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez. 58.4%
• Macallan Classic Cut 2018 Release
  This is the 2018 release of the Macallan Classic Cut. Matured in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez. 51.2%

The theme of the Folio 3 is Macallan advertising campaigns from the 1980's and 1990's, and the presentation includes a book containing the best of these. The illustration on the box is from an advert used in a Victorian era edition of Punch magazine, and is intended to capture the notion that whisky is best produced in cold weather, a remark that Macallan claim was made on their very own estate at Easter Elchies.

As with the previous Folio releases, the bottle is presented in an elegant book-shaped tin box.

Macallan 1991 Easter Elchies Seasonal Selection 14 Year Old / Winter

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually and exclusively available from the distillery.  

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a single sherry puncheon #7020 for 14 years.

A very, very rare bottling of Midelton distilled in 1973 at the original Old Midleton distillery, and bottled in 2000.

Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks before being finished in port pipe #33810.

Number 46 only 1,000 bottles.

Old Overholt 1914 Bottled in Bond 14 Year Old Pint / Prohibition Era Bottling

The Old Overholt brand is a legend in the world of American whisky, established all the way back 1810. This bottle was distilled over 100 year later (and over 100 years ago!) in 1914 at West Overton distillery in Pennsylvania. The Rye whisky was then bonded at the distillery, where it was stored and, thankfully, protected from the Prohibition Act of 1920 which banned all production and consumption of the alcohol in the US for the next 13 years.

As it turns out, Overholt distillery owner, Andrew Mellon was a close friend of Warren G. Harding, then secretary of the Treasury, a connection that provided him with a license to continue selling \"medicinal\" whiskey during Prohibition. This whiskey was bottled in bond at the distillery warehouses in 1929.

Prohibition did however cause the original West Overton distillery to cease production, and with stocks running out, the brand was sold to National Distillers in 1932. National Distillers was the resurrection of the infamous pre-Prohibition Whiskey Trust, who resumed their aims of consolidating as many interests in the industry as possible, starting with the American Medicinal Spirits Co, with the repeal of Prohibition expected the following year.

Old Overholt still exists today, produced alongside Old Grand-dad by Jim Beam, who acquired both of 'The Olds' from National Distillers in 1987.

Macallan 2005 Exceptional Cask #5235-04

The Macallan Exceptional Casks were bottled in 2017 exclusively for the United States and parts of Asia. This range takes it's name from a number of single cask bottlings Macallan released during the 1990s which are often described as some of 'the greatest Macallan of them all \".

Distilled on the 30th March 2005 and bottled over 12 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Butt #5235 (Ref: 2017/ESB-5235/04).

Selected by Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno, this was the fourth cask to be reserved for the 2017 series on 2nd June of the same year.

One of only 561 bottles.

Macallan Easter Elchies Black 2018 Release

2018 was very much about the “new” at Macallan, with their state of the art new distillery opening in the summer. However, November also found time for a long-awaited return from the past, the Easter Elchies series. The first releases to bear the name of the distilleries famous manor home were the Easter Elchies Seasonal Selection, launched in 2005, followed by a highly acclaimed and equally sought after single cask series. The last of these was bottled in 2013.

Now, after a five year hiatus, Macallan has launched the Easter Elchies Black. The release is intended to embody the “warmth” and “timeless luxury” of the eponymous house, and advertises notes of citrus, apple and sweet peat smoke.

One of just 1958 bottles.
