Macallan 1949 Millennium 50 Year Old

An amazing bottle of whisky, released by Macallan to commemorate the turn of the millenium.   This whisky is among the most desirable and sought after whiskies on the market, it represents the most luxurious of Macallan, not only in presentation and quality, but also in rarity and age.

Distilled on 14th January 1949 and released as a 50 year old presented in an elegant decanter designed by Caithness Glass along with a stopper and an impressive 'fitted' lockable hard wood case.  The copper used for the ingot and neck were retrieved from No.9 spirit still at Macallan distillery.

Includes an unregistered certificate and key, this is one of 900 bottles released.

Please note the copper detail around the neck has split and come loose, there is some residue from this on the neck where the tax stamps have also been removed, there is no key to lock the box.

Karuizawa 1967 Single Cask 42 Year Old #6426

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim, this one perhaps more than most!

It is amazing that whiskies such as this have been bottled in recent years given how few casks of Karuizawa are remaining. There are now not many as old as this and we doubt there will be many (if any at all) that will match this age in the future.

Distilled in 1967 and bottled 42 years later in August 2009, this is legendary cask #6426.

26 Malts SMWS Collection / Including Poster and Book

A fantastic lot, comprising of the full 26 Malts collection from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, only 50 collections of this exist around the world.

The concept of this collection was to combine a total of 26 writers who were randomly paired up with 26 graphic designers/artists from leading UK agencies, using inspiration from individual single cask whiskies to create labels and artwork.

A blind tasting of the 26 Malts was recorded in a book alongwith the art work of each label, an exhibition in 2005 consisted of a display of the whiskies and the 26 framed pieces of artwork at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's locations in Edinburgh and London, it was later displayed in other locations.

This collcetion has rarely every appeared at auction and this is a wonderful opportunity to purchase the full 26 malts in one go, only 20 of these collections exist!
