Bunnahabhain 1975 Douglas Laing 40 Year Old / XOP

Old Particular is Douglas Laing's flagship label, and was launched in 2013 after their Old Malt Cask series became part of the portfolio of the newly established Hunter Laing. Xtra Old Particular is the premium version of the brand, and is reserved for casks the company considers the Laing \"family jewels.\"

This Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1975 and aged an impressive 40 years in a single refill butt.

Benriach 1976 Peated Single Cask 30 Year Old #8080 / The Nectar

A single cask release from Benriach, distilled in 1976 and bottled in August 2007 from hogshead #8080.

The distillery produces a number of whisky styles, and this is a peated single malt. Benriach is one of only seven distilleries in Scotland still operating its own in-house floor maltings.

The cask was bottled exclusively for The Nectar, which was founded in Belgium in 2006 by Mario Groteklaes and Jan Broekmans. In addition to being a well-respected independent bottler, they are also one of Belgium's largest wine and spirit importers.

Brora 1977 Rare Malt 24 Year Old / 56.1%

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Brora closed in 1983 and over the years has contributed to 13 different Rare Malt Selection releases. 

This bottle was distilled in 1977 and bottled in October 2001 as a 24 year old.

Bowmore 22 Year Old The Gulls

Yet another of the many legends of Bowmore.

Back in the day, When the Scots traveled from their Celtic lands to create the Kingdom of Dalriada-in-Alban, the Pictish and Brythonic tribes who already lived in the lands resisted fiercely. Legend says that the daughter of a Pictish King fell in love with a captured Scottish warrior and helped him escape. Together they fled westwards to Islay. Rowing towards the young warrior's home on the shores of Loch Indaal, a terrible storm assaulted their boat, sending it crashing into the rocky coast line.

The young Scot's clansmen found only debris and no sign of the lovers - but a pair of white gulls soared and swooped together across the Loch, settling neither on the western nor the eastern shore, as if torn between the two.

... on the whisky front this is a 22 year old Bowmore presented in a stunning blue decanter with a stylish box.

Bowmore 1989 Single Cask #7929 / Feis Ile 2018

The second of two releases in the Feis Ile 2018 Collection from Bowmore distillery.

This 1989 vintage was matured exclusively in an ex-bourbon cask for the 2018 Feis Ile Festival.

A well respected 30 year old from Balvenie, which won a Gold Medal at the 2010 International Spirits Challenge.

Dailuaine 1975 Samaroli & Moon Import / Dreams

Moon Import was founded by Pepi Mongiardino in 1980 and he bottled his first whisky in 1982. Always beautifully labelled, Pepi is acclaimed for designing the packaging for Moon Import bottles himself, often using images found in old books. These iconic designs, coupled with the quality of the liquid saw Moon Import steadily grow in popularity. The company is still going strong, and their early releases are some of the brightest gems in any whisky collection.

The Dreams series was a 1999 collaborative effort between longtime friends Mongiardino and Samaroli. The unusually labelled series feature artworks designed by Nadia Pini and Hans Piu, and all bear Silvano Samaroli's signature printed on the capsule.

This Dailuaine was distilled in 1975 and is bottle number 308 of 594. 

Ben Nevis 1972 Cask 88 45 Year Old / Scottish Folklore Series 1st Release

A very well aged Ben Nevis, distilled on the 23rd June 1972 and aged in a sherry hogshead. 

Selected and bottled by Cask 88. 

This is bottle number 131 of 227.

This bottle won a gold medal at the 2018 International Wine and Spirit Competition, with judges awarding it a score of 90-92.9.

The Booker's brand is a subsidiary of Jim Beam and was named after former master distiller, Booker Noe. His son Fred is now the current master distiller and is on record as having said, \"if you’re drinking Booker’s, you better have your pajamas on!” Jim Beam have two distilleries in Kentucky where they produce their bourbon, but Booker's is the only brand produced exclusively at one of them; the Boston Road plant, now also known as the Booker Noe distillery.

This special release commemorates the brand's 30th anniversary and is a vatting of 70% 2009 vintage 9 year old bourbon, and 30% 16 year old bourbon distilled in 2002.

Banff 1975 Celtic Heartlands 33 Year Old / Signed by Jim McEwan

A single malt from the increasingly sought after closed Highland distillery, Banff. 

Distilled in 1975 and bottled 2008 as part of the Jim McEwan's Celtic Heartlands range from Murray McDavid.

Brora 1974 Wilson and Morgan 27 Year Old / Anniversary Selection

An older independently bottled Brora, distilled in 1974 and bottled in Edinburgh in 2002 for Wilson & Morgan. Closed since 1983, these old vintage bottlings of Brora are very sought after, especially single casks.

Wilson & Morgan was founded in Italy in 1992 by Fabio Rossi, the son of prolific importer Mario Rossi Jr, who began distributing Scotch whisky back in the 1960s. His son’s company was one of  a new generation of Italian bottlers established in the 1990s, which aimed to replicate the successes of predecessors like Samaroli and Moon Import.

This 2002 bottling is an Anniversary Selection release to commemorate their 20th year.

Bunnahabhain 1967 Duncan Taylor 38 Year Old

Duncan Taylor was founded in Glasgow in 1938 as a cask broker and trading company. Its modern history began in 2001 when a former Glendronach employee, Euan Shand, purchased the firm and moved it to Huntly in Aberdeenshire, using the impressive cask portfolio it has amassed over the 20th century to become one of the premier independent bottlers in Scotland.

This Bunnahabhain was distilled in March 1967 and matured in cask #3335 until November 2005.

Banff 1975 Duncan Taylor 35 Year Old 75cl / US Import

Distilled in November 1975 and bottled in March 2011 by Duncan Taylor, this Banff is bottle number 180 of 289 and was bottled from cask #3350.

Part of Duncan Taylor's Rarest of the Rare series which bottles whisky from closed distilleries.

Bunnahabhain 1968 Duncan Taylor 38 Year Old

This Bunnahabhain was distilled in December 1968 and matured in cask #11571. 

Bottled in December 2006 by Duncan Taylor as part of their Rare Auld range, this is bottle number 13 of 150. 

Bowmore 1992 Kingsbury 25 Year Old / Sar Obair

A very limited Bowmore, distilled in 1992 and presented in an attractive decanter at 25 years of age by Kingsbury. 

Kingsbury are Japan's most sought after independent bottler. They were founded in 1989 by Eaglesome, the high-end deli in Campbeltown that was purchased by J & A Mitchell & Co of Springbank distillery, and turned into one of the region's finest whisky merchants. They initially bottled Kingsbury's exclusively for the Japanese market using their Cadenhead's stock, before the label was acquired by native firm, the Japanese Import System. They have released a number of some of the most collectible whiskies, including a Bowmore 1966, and two dark sherry casked Ardbeg.

Brora 1982 Lombard

From Scotch Malt Sales, a Japanese independent bottling company, released within their Distillery Collection range, this rare Brora single malt was distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2000.

1982 was the penultimate production year for Brora, and its single malt has become highly collectible since its closure.

Bruichladdich 1990 Rare Cask Series 25 Year Old / Sherry Cask Edition

This 1990 vintage Bruichladdich was conceived from two distinct batches of Islay whisky. One matured in first fill bourbon for 17 years, a French wine cask for 5 years and PX sherry casks for 4 years. The second batch was matured in a refill sherry butt for 18 years before being finished in Oloroso Sherry casks for a remaining 7 years.

Only 6000 were produced.

Balvenie 30 Year Old

A well respected 30 year old from Balvenie, which won a Gold Medal at the 2010 International Spirits Challenge.

Bowmore 1997 Single Cask 20 Year Old / World Duty Free Heathrow

A sherry cask Bowmore, distilled in 1997 and bottled over twenty years later in 2018.

This is an exclusive single cask bottling for World Duty Free Heathrow, and is one of 198 bottles which could be found in Terminals 2,3,4, and 5.

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #8

As with the previous releases of Balvenie Tun 1401, these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Nine traditional whisky casks and three sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel.

The expression has been exclusively created for the travel retail market.

Balvenie 25 Year Old Double Wood / 25th Anniversary Edition

A special, limited edition 25 year old expression of the iconic Balvenie Double Wood.

Released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the Double Wood 12 Year Old.

As always, this was matured in a combination of 'traditional whisky oak' and sherry oak casks.

There are no measurements for volume or strength.

Bowmore 1991 Woolf Sung 26 Year Old / The Lowest Tide

A fantastic release from the oldest distillery on Islay. 

Distilled in 1991 then matured in single Sauternes cask #27935, before being bottled by Woolf Sung on 31st May 2018.

The Lowest Tide is presented in a beautiful stainless steel black powder-coated bank vault case.
