Bowmore Devil's Cask Batch #3

This is the third release in the incredibly popular Devil's Cask Small Batch series from Bowmore distillery.

This small batch release was matured exclusively in first fill Sherry casks, a marriage of Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez.  Unlike Batches 1 & 2 which were declared as being matured for a minimum of 10 years, Batch 3 does not carry an age-statement. 

\"Where The Devil is He?\" - The story goes the devil was spotted in the circular church at Bowmore, the villagers chased the devil into Bowmore Distillery where, as legend goes, the devil escaped in a cask.

Balvenie 14 Year Old Cuban Selection

Released for the French market, this Balvenie was matured for 14 years prior to a finishing period in Cuban rum casks.

Bunnahabhain 1991 Wilson and Morgan 23 Year Old​

Distilled in 1991 and then matured for 23 years in casks #5472/73

Finished in Pedro Ximenez casks.

Booker's 8 Year Old Small Batch Bourbon

This bourbon is hard to find outside of the USA, which is surpirising considering everyone loves it. 

This is eight years and eight months old and bottled at cask strength.

Blanton's Single Barrel Dumped 1994

Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon is normally a 6 to 8 year old bourbon. It is aged in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace, which is the only metal-cladded warehouse at the distillery, commissioned for construction by Albert B. Blanton, after whom the whiskey is named. The warehouse was built shortly after prohibition and being metal, the warehouse transfers heat quicker than brick warehouses, allowing for more rapid aging.

This is a 1994 bottling, dumped on the 16th June and matured in barrel No.265.

Stored on rick No.2 and bottled at 80 proof for the Japanese market.

Bushmills 21 Year Old Three Wood

A very rare bottling of Bushmills, this 21 year was matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks before being finished in Madeira casks.

Winner of the Best Irish Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2012. This is the 2015 release. 

Bottle number 13939/2014.

Benrinnes 1988 Murray McDavid 28 Year Old​

Distilled in 1988 and bottled by Murray McDavid in Summer 2017. This was finished for over a year and a half in a fresh Oloroso sherry cask.

One of only 241 bottles drawn from cask #140001.

Bowmore 1999 Warehousemen's Selection 17 Year Old / Distillery Exclusive​

Ben Wyvis 1968 Signatory Vintage Miniature 5cl

Ben Wyvis was a distillery in Invergordon and operated between 1965 and 1977. 

This was distilled in June 1968 matured in single cask no. 685 and bottled in February 2000.

Bruichladdich 1991 Valinch 'The Sound of Snouts in the Trough'

One of a few 'pig' theamed distillery only 'Valinch' bottlings.

Bottled in protest to the MP expenses scandal of 2009 the name is a dig at the disgraced MPs.

Distilled in 1994 and bottled at cask strength 14 years later. Cask number 012 that was finished in Grand Callejo wine cask.

Bottled to commemorate 100 years of Benromach distillery this 17 year old was released in 1998 and is bottle number 187 of 3500.

The final two years of maturation of this whisky were spent in sherry casks dating as far back as 1896,1895 and 1891.

Ben Nevis 2006 Hidden Spirits 12 Year Old​

A really interesting bottle independent bottling of Ben Nevis. 

Produced from an experimental batch of heavily peated Ben Nevis aged in a single sherry cask BN618 and bottled in 2018 by the Hidden Spirits whisky company.
