Macallan Exceptional Cask Collection 7 x 70cl​

We are excited to offer a complete collection of the new range of Macallan Exceptional Casks bottled in 2017 exclusively for the United States and parts of Asia. This range takes it's name from a number of single cask bottlings Macallan released during the 1990s which are often described as some of \"the greatest Macallan of them all.\"

Includes:

• Cask #1: Distilled on the 12th June 1997 and bottled over 20 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Butt #9182 (Ref: 2017/ESB-9182/01). One of only 111 bottles.
• Cask #2: Distilled on the 16th October 2004 and bottled over 12 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Butt #11650 (Ref: 2017/ESB-11650/02). One of only 298 bottles.
• Cask #3: Distilled on the 6th August 2003 and bottled over 24 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Butt #8841 (Ref: 2017/ESB-8841/03). One of only 612 bottles.
• Cask #4: Distilled on the 30th March 2005 and bottled over 12 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Butt #5235 (Ref: 2017/ESB-5235/04). One of only 561 bottles.
• Cask #5: Distilled on the 4th March 2002 and bottled over 15 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Butt #2339 (Ref: 2017/ESB-2339/05) One of only 286 bottles.
• Cask #6: Distilled on the 26th April 1995 and bottled over 22 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Hogshead #5326 (Ref: 2017/ESH-5326/06). One of only 281 bottles.
• Cask #7: Distilled on the 13th November 1996 and bottled over 20 years later after maturing in single European Oak Sherry Hogshead #13561 (Ref: 2017/ESH-13561/07). One of only 296 bottles.

Selected by Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno, these 7 bottles were filled and released in 2017.

Karuizawa 1965 Single Sherry Cask 50 Year Old #2372​

A special release from La Maison Du Whisky, this vintage Karuizawa was distilled in 1965 and matured in a sherry cask.

Karuizawa 1965 Single Bourbon Cask 50 Year Old #8636

A brand new release from La Maison Du Whisky. A 1965 vintage Karuizawa matured in a bourbon cask.

Macallan 1946 Select Reserve 52 Year Old

A truly stunning bottle of Macallan distilled in 1946 and matured for over half a century until bottling. Presented in a gorgeous wooden box under lock and key. Complete with certificate.

Macallan 40 Year Old 2016 Release 

This most rare of Macallan's came into being as a result of the instinct and foresight shown by master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno.

Back in 2006 he and his team were crafting the annual release of the 30 Year Old  Sherry Oak, which involved combining the finest spirit from 27 specially selected casks into nine 'marrying' casks. 

Bob was inspired to fill a tenth cask, which was laid back down and allowed to continue to mature and develop. Assessed again in 2011 it was left for a further 5 years at which point it was deemed ready.

The result, an incredible 40 Year Old, only the second ever non-vintage Macallan released and limited to 500 bottles! Stunning!

Macallan 1985 Fine and Rare 29 Year Old

Another fantastic example of old Macallan, The Macallan Fine and Rare Series of whiskies was designed to represent the very best vintages / whisky that Macallan had to offer, dating back as far as 1926.

Distilled in 1985 and bottled 29 years later in 2014, from single cask #190413.

Unique Reference: r4qdqr.

Karuizawa 33 Year Old Sherry Cask #3579 / Golden Geisha

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

The 2 highly saught after Gplden Geisha releases were available to purchase by winners of a raffle hosted by The Whisky Exchange.

Aged for 33 years in sherry cask #3579 this bottle is number 67 of 129.

Selected by Master Distiller Bob Dalgarno, this was the sixth cask to be reserved for the 2017 series on 2nd June of the same year.

One of only 281 bottles.

Midleton Very Rare 20th Anniversary Edition

Created in the same casks used for the inaugural Midleton Rare 1984. Released in 2004 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Very Rare releases.

Presented in a beautiful wooden case with velvet lining, and two Waterford crystal tumblers and scroll.

This bottle is one of a pair which were released for The Whisky Exchange's 2014 Whisky Show; the other bottle being a single Sherry cask #5347 which features a mirror-image label.

Macallan 25 Year Old Decanter

A beautifully presented Macallan Decanter bottled at 25 years old.

The hand blown English crystal decanter is often referred to as the 'Tudor Decanter'.  The writing on the decanter is difficult to make out on the images but carries a large 'M'.

Macallan The Flask 75cl / US Exclusive

Macallan have teamed up with super cool sunglasses designers Oakley for this special release. If you've seen the shades, you know what to expect form this high concept design.

The flask is made from 'food-grade' steel, then wrapped in a carbon fiber composite and “treated to an intensive passivation and electro-polishing procedure to ensure perfection.” It is then clad in “black anodized 5-axis machined aerospace grade aluminum.”

The whisky itself is a 22 year old, aged in, unusually, ex-Sherry American oak barrels.

Although the physical flask was available in both the US and UK market, the 400 bottles were a US exclusive.

Macallan Diamond Jubilee

Released in 2012 this specially designed bottle bears a unique image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by the sculptor Arnold Martin.

The contents of this bottle were specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen's accession and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated.  

Bottled at 52% in line with the year of the Queen's accession, only 2,012 bottles were released.
