Arran Devil's Punch Bowl Chapter I

The first edition of Arran's Devil Punch Bowl which consists of 27 casks distilled between 1997 and 2004; 17 of which are sherry casks, 6 ‘unpeated’ bourbon casks and 4 peated bourbon casks.

Known as the Angels and Devils edition, only 6,600 bottles have been released.

Released in June 2011, Ardbeg Alligator takes its name from the aggressive charring of the American casks the whisky was matured in.  This charring level is known as the Alligator char because the cracking of the wood under the heat looks similar to the skin of an Alligator.

St Magdalene 1981 Gordon and MacPhail

A bottle of Connoisseur's Choice St Magdalene from Gordon & MacPhail.

Distilled at the closed Lowland distillery in 1981 and bottled in 1997.

Springbank Elixir Distillers 24 Year Old / Art of Whisky​

This well-aged Springbank was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2017 as a 24 year old, having been - we are informed - matured in a rum cask.

This bottling is part of an exclusive range of whiskies entitled 'The Art of Whisky' released by Elixir Distillers (aka Speciality Drinks, aka The Whisky Exchange) for The Whisky Show 2017.

Springbank 8 Year Old circa 1980s / Japanese Edition

A very unusual bottle of Springbank 8 Year Old.

This was produced especially for the Japanese market in the 1980s.

Aultmore 1989 Samaroli

A single cask bottling of Aultmore distilled in 1989 and bottled by Silvano Samaroli in April 2002, after maturing in cask #2402.

Bottle number 313 of only 426 produced.

Suntory Yamazaki Finest Old Liqueur Whisky 1960s

A fantastic bottling of Suntory whisky, long discontinued, in a unique dumpy bottle.

Although these bottles were normally stated as blends, this one is stated as from Yamazaki, though Yamazaki was producing grain whisky in this era so it could be a single blend.

The terminology \"Liqueur\" was used until the 1960s to specify a whisky of higher quality than normal.

This particularly unusual bottle still bears the name Kotobukiya Ltd, which was dropped in 1963 in place of now world renowned Suntory Ltd.

Springbank 1985 Cadenhead's 10 Year Old​ Cask Strength

An incredibly rare Springbank, distilled in 1985 and bottled in November 1995 by Cadenhead's at cask strength.

Springbank 1999 Local Barley 16 Year Old

A recent release of Springbank that has all but vanished from the shelves within hours of release.  

The first 'Local Barley' release from Springbank in decades (with one or two exceptions).  Distilled in September 1999 and bottled in 2016, the 'local barley' comes from the varietal 'Prisma' and was grown on the Kintyre Peninsula, Low Machrimore Farm.

Limited to only 9,000 bottles.

Amrut Spectrum 004 / Whisky Live Warsaw​

Amrut have released some amazing whiskies.

This whisky has been matured for three years in ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred to specially custom crafted casks made from four different types of wood. 

The packaging bears an entirely inexplicable call-out to James Bond, though we' suspect the legal team at Amrut would deny any connection between the product and Alexander Fleming's spy extraordinaire.

Ardbeg don't release many vintages at all now, and the Airgh Nam Beist was one of the last, prior to the Galileo.

Taking it's name from the Gaelic meaning of \"shelter\" or pasture, this whisky was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006 at 46%.

Smooth Ambler Old Scout Rye 10 Year Old Single Barrel Limited Release

The Smooth Ambler is a craft distillery based in West Virginia. The 'Old Scout' range of whiskies from Smooth Ambler is a collection of barrels sourced from other places, meeting the high standards of the Smooth Ambler brand.

This 10 year old rye whisky is from barrel #3574 and at 59.3%.

St Lucia 2010 Single Cask 7 Year Old Rum / Velier 70th Anniversary​

One of many fantastic and unique rums released by Velier to celebrate their 70th anniversary. 

Single ex-Bourbon cask #734-0908 JD2 was filled in 2010 and spent 7 years ageing in the tropics before bottling in 2017

Ardbeg Still Young 1998

Ardbeg Still Young was distilled in 1998 and released in 2006, the second release on the ‘path to peaty maturity’.

Ardbeg Day Feis Ile 2012

Released on June 1^st 2012 as Ardbeg’s annual Feis Ile bottling, it was not only available at Ardbeg Distillery, but also via 100 of Ardbeg’s ‘embassies’.

The hugely popular Ardbeg Day was a limited run of 12,000 bottles partially married in ex refill sherry casks used to mature whisky for the Ardbeg Uigeadail.

Aberlour A'bunadh Batch #6

This is a very early batch of Aberlour A'bunadh, the first to carry a batch number and released in 1999.

Aberlour A'Bunadh / Very Early Batch 

This is one of the first five batches of A'Bunadh, unfortunately the batches were unnumbered in the distant days of 1997. This is from between batch 1 and batch 5. 

The word a'bunadh is translated into English from Scottish Gaelic as \"the origin\", as this refers to how the whisky Aberlour would have produced around 100 years ago.

This bottle appears to have been signed by two of the distillery staff at the time.

Springbank 2000 Duty Paid Sample 17 Year Old

An official bottling of Springbank, available exclusively at the distillery.

These Duty Paid Samples are individual bottles, drawn at cask strength from a single cask with no two bottles being the same - absolutely unique and one of a kind!

Distilled on the 10th November 2000 and bottled at 17 years of age.

Rotation 727 from warehouse 7. Matured in a fresh bourbon barrel.

Ardbeg Alligator Untamed Release

A fierce charring to the cask, an 'alligator char' provides the name for this whisky, aggressive heat when applied to the inside of the casks causes the cracking of the wood which resembles that of an Alligators skin. Following the acclaimed committee release, the un-tamed edition was released in 2011 and quickly sold out.
