George T Stagg 2016 Release

The 2016 edition of George T Stagg released at their usual impressive strength 72.05%.

The Antique Collection celebrates historic US whiskey brands, figures and places. George T. Stagg was a 19th century distiller, and the Buffalo Trace distillery was named after him until 1999 when it adopted its current title.

This version of the annual release is a 15 year old whiskey.

Yamazaki Puncheon 2010 / First Release

Yamazaki was thrust into the spotlight after their Sherry Cask release of 2013 received the title of Best Whisky in the World title from Jim Murray.  

The distillery also releases several other annual limited editions, including the Puncheon bottling. This is a 2010 bottling from Yamazaki and was matured in large 480 litre oak Puncheons.

Green Spot 1991 Single Cask #50776 / TWE

Mitchell's Green Spot  were the last Pot Still style whiskeys produced in Ireland at one point.

Jameson has now reinvented the brand. The whiskey is from New Midleton distillery. This is an exclusive single cask, distilled in 1991 and bottled especially for the The Whisky Exchange.

Whisky fro bourbon barrels and sherry butts were re-casked into Marsala butt #50776, which produced 576 bottles.

Glen Elgin 1975 Whisky Agency 35 Year Old

This Glen Elgin was distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2011 by The Whisky Agency.

Glenugie 1973 Chieftain's 27 Year Old

Distilled in December 1973 and bottled in December 2000. Bourbon aged from cask number 6543 and 6547.

Glen Grant 1972 Whisky Agency 39 Year Old / Shinanoya

An independent bottling of Glen Grant from The Whisky Agency, bottled exclusively for Shinanoya.

Matured in a refill sherry hogshead before being bottled by The Whisky Agency in 2012.

Glen Grant 1974 Cadenhead's 23 Year Old / US Import

A single cask selected by Cadenhead's from Glen Grant. The liquid was distilled in March 1974 and bottled 23 years later in March 1998.

Bottled at cask strength and realised for the United Sates.

Glen Mhor 1974  Sestante 13 Year Old

A 13 year old expression from the long closed Highland distillery, Glen Mhor. Bottled by the legendary Italian importers, Sestante.

The Sestante import company was founded in the 1970s by Ernesto Mainardi, and he bottled his first single casks under the name in 1985. Alongside his contemporary, Silvano Samaroli, Mainardi pioneered giving his customers a choice of both standard 40-46% bottlings, and cask strength releases from the same casks. Along with his other brand, Silver Seal, Mainardi's bottlings are incredibly sought after.

This was bottled in 1987 at cask strength, and is one of several from the distillery that Mainardi bottled in the 1980s.

Glenfiddich 1994 Rare Cask 20 Year Old / Distillery Exclusive

An exceptionally rare bottling of Glenfiddich released as a unique distillery exclusive.

This 20 year old whisky was matured initially in US refill and European oak, before being finished in a bourbon barrel. 

Bottled in July 2015, this is bottle number 38 of only 96 bottles filled from cask #4. 

Glengoyne 1969 Vintage Reserve / with Miniature 5cl

A fantastic well aged Glengoyne released inclusive of a 5cl sample bottle, how convenient.

A more recent bottling of this highly sought after 30 year old Speyside whisky, presented in a stylish leather box. 

Glen Avon 25 Year Old Decanter 1980s / Sestante Import​

A wonderful old bottling of a mystery Speyside by Gordon and MacPhail.

The Sestante import company was founded in the 1970s by Ernesto Mainardi, and he bottled his first single casks under the name in 1985. Alongside his contemporary, Silvano Samaroli, Mainardi pioneered giving his customers a choice of both standard 40-46% bottlings, and cask strength releases from the same casks. Along with his other brand, Silver Seal, Mainardi's bottlings are incredibly sought after.

Mainardi imported a lot of Glen Avon in the 1980s, bottling several of these spectacular dark sherry casks in his famous crystal decanters.

Mainardi was a former employee of Co. Import, Pinerolo, and was inspired to bottle these crystal decanters based on similar bottlings of Macallan that they had produced. The Sestante decanters were Edinburgh crystal, and Mainardi estimates he produced around 3500 of these over the years.

George T Stagg 2018 Release

The 2018 edition of George T Stagg, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

The Antique Collection celebrates historic US whiskey brands, figures and places. George T. Stagg was a 19th century distiller, and the Buffalo Trace distillery was named after him for most of the 20th century, becoming Ancient Age in 1983 and adopting its current title in 1999.

The 2018 bottling has been produced from 284 barrels containing Bourbon distilled in Spring 2003.

Glen Grant 1969 Berry Brothers and Rudd

An amazing and very rare Glen Grant distilled in 1969 and bottled in 1999.

Berry Brothers and Rudd is a firm steeped in history. They were established in the 17th century, and received a Royal Warrant from King Edward VII in 1903. The company has been bottling single malt whisky from almost as early as that, and produced their first ever blend, Cutty Sark, in 1923.

Bottled at 43% and drawn from cask number 1040.
