Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #3

The latest 'tun' release from Balvenie, following the footsteps of Balvenie Tun 1401 and 1858.

This larger Tun can hold up to four times as much liquid as Tun 1401 and hence we expect a larger quantity of this release.  

This release is a combination of 31 casks: 12 Sherry Butts, 11 Hogsheads, and 8 Refill American Oak Butts. These were married in Tun 1509 for several months before bottling.

Bowmore 25 Year Old Small Batch Release

A recent bottling of 25 year old from Bowmore, Islay's oldest distillery. 

Matured in American bourbon and Spanish sherry casks.

Bunnahabhain 1980 Whisky Agency 33 Year Old / Private Stock

An independent bottling from Islay distillery, Bunnahabhain.

Distilled in 1980 and matured for 33 years in an ex-sherry butt.

One of 109 bottles filled from the private stock of The Whisky Agency in Germany.

Federal Reserve 1950 Green Label  20 Year Old Straight Bourbon / Mootz Import

An unusual bottling of well-aged bourbon for the German market.

Distilled in June 1950 and aged for 20 years before bottling by National Distillers Corp.

National Distillers had several operating distilleries in the 1950s, however their most prominent were Old Grand-dad and the Old Taylor Castle in Kentucky.

Bunnahabhain 1988 Douglas Laing 30 Year Old / XOP

An independently bottled Bunnahabhian, part of Douglas Laing's premium Xtra Old Particular series, XOP.

Distilled in February 1988 and then matured for 30 years in refill butt #12821 in August 2018. 

Bottle number 160 of only 271 bottles.

Banff 1976 Gordon and MacPhail 

A rare Gordon and MacPhail bottling of Banff, distilled in 1976 and bottled under their Connoisseur's Choice banner.

Bottled in 2008.

Bunnahabhain 1979 Duir 30 Year Old

Distilled in 22nd of September 1979 and matured in a single sherry cask for 30 years then bottled on 7th October 2009.

Foursquare 2003 Velier 14 Year Old Destino Single Blended Rum

A single blended rum from Foursquare distillery, matured for 12 years in ex-Madeira casks and then moved to ex-bourbon casks for another 2 years. 

Bottled in December 2017 as one of 2610 bottles.

Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2018 Release / 130th Anniversary

The 2018 limited edition barrel strength, small batch release from Four Roses, bottled at a high strength of 54.2%.

The origins of the Four Roses brand are historically hazy, with some speculating that it has been sold since the 1860s. The brand name itself was trademarked in 1888, and this release celebrates the 130th anniversary of that event.

One of 3804 bottles filled in the 70cl size.

This release is a combination of 42 casks: 35 traditional American oak barrels and 7 European oak sherry butts. These were married in Tun 1509 for several months before bottling.

An excellent independent Bruichladdich, distilled on 23rd October 1991 and bottled by Blackadder in June 2018.

The Blackadder Raw Cask series is deliberately drawn un-filtered from the cask so as to retain all cask sediment along with any natural oils and fats. 

Bushmills 2001 SMWS 16 Year Old 51.7

'Come in from the cold'

One of the few Irish malts bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, this Bushmills has been matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels. 

Distilled in 2001 and bottled at 16 years old.

A 1996 vintage bottling of Ben Nevis, bottled in September 2018.

This 21 year old single malt was matured in a refill sherry butt and bottled at cask strength.

This single cask bottling was produced exclusively for La Maison du Whisky.

Benrinnes 1996 A.D. Rattray 14 Year Old

A 14 year old whisky from the Benrinnes distillery in Speyside.

Re-established in 2002, the A.D. Rattray company is headed up by Stanley Walker Morrison, grandson of the Stanley P. Morrison who owned Bowmore distillery. The A.D. Rattray company came into the family through the marriage of Stanley to the daughter of William Walker, who's William Walker & Co had acquired the firm in 1920. When Beam Suntory acquired full ownership of the Morrison Bowmore in 1994, the family revived the A.D. Rattray name in order to find a new avenue back into the whisky trade. This is part of their Cask Collection range, which was launched in 2004.

Distilled in 1996, this was bottled in April 2011 from single sherry hogshead #6463.

One of 281 bottles.
