Clynelish 17 Year Old Manager's Dram 1998

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

This 17 year old Clynelish was matured in sherry casks and selected by the distillery manager.

Bottled 23rd November 1998, this is bottle number 1221. 

Chichibu 2013 Ichiro's Malt Single Cask #2588 / Velier 70th Anniversary​

A single cask Chichibu distilled in 2013 and matured in a single first fill sherry hogshead. Bottled in 2017 for the 70th anniversary of Italian import company, Velier.

The label features artwork The Red Point by Jun Inoue.

Cardow 1962 Cadenhead's 20 Year Old / Cardhu

Cadenhead's are Scotland's oldest independent bottler, operating for over 175 years, but perhaps none of their bottlings are as sought after as these 'dumpy' style bottles. All of these were produced with brown glass and an iconic black label, with each distillery given its own letterpress font in homage to William Cadenhead's early career in the printing business.

This Cardhu was bottled under one of the distilleries lesser known names 'Cardow'.

Distilled in December 1962 and bottled in June 19853. 

Chichibu 2012 Ichiro's Malt Port Pipe #1825 / Mitsukoshi Isetan

This is from the relatively new and incredibly popular Japanese distillery Chichibu.

Distilled in 2012 and matured in port pipe #1825. This was bottled at cask strength exclusively for Mitsukoshi Isetan.

One of 300 bottles.

The 2018 edition is a small batch release comprising Mizunara hogshead #1460 and bourbon barrels #1882, #1886, #2590, #2591 and #2596.

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Clynelish was distilled in 1972 and bottled as a 22 year old at 58.64% for the US market.

Craigellachie 1962 Cadenhead's 22 Year Old

As Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, Cadenhead’s have long been known for releasing stunning whiskies but none more so than those from their famous ‘dumpy’ series, which features some incredible 1950s and 60s vintages. Whisky from this bygone era of production have become increasingly elusive in recent years, making them exceptionally desirable. 

This Craigellachie was distilled in December 1962 and bottled in January 1985.

Clynelish 1997 Managers' Choice

The Managers' Choice releases were quite controversial when initially released, fairly young whiskies with quite high price tags. With the changes in the industry and age statements becoming less and less common perhaps these can be considered quite reasonable now.

Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2009 from single cask #4341.

Clynelish 12 Year Old Ainslie and Heilbron 57% 1980s

An full proof bottling of Clynelish from proprietors, Ainslie & Heilbron.

This was bottled in the 1980s by Gordon & MacPhail, who took over the official bottling license in 1984, continuing to use the classic orange labels introduced in 1977.

A single barrel bourbon, bottled by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers at Willett distillery. Drawn from Barrel #8215. KBD's warehouses contain bourbon from the majority of the Kentucky distilleries, but most of it is sourced from neighbouring Heaven Hill.

This was a 2017 release, exclusively available at the Willett gift shop.

Exclusively bottled for Bar Barns in Nagoya, Japan.

Caol Ila 1989 Coilltean Private Cask / Samaroli Import

An unusual single vintage bottling of Caol Ila, distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2000.

The whisky was drawn from the private casks of Maurizio Menichetti, numbers #3261 and #3262. They were bottled for him in Scotland by Coilltean International, and shipped in to Italy by parent company, the legendary Samaroli.

Coilltean was a name devised by Samaroli in the 1980s to disguise duplicate distilleries in his bottling series' and give the illusion of further variety after he over-bought casks of 1975 vintage Glen Garioch. It later becamew the name of the Scottish-based bottling arm of his company in the 1990s, when their long standing arrangement with R.W. Duthie came to an end.

Released within the famous and eagerly awaited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection which celebrates historic bourbon brands and figures.

William Larue Weller was a 19th century whiskey rectifier and distiller, who's W.L. Weller and Sons company was run by the legendary Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle. The Weller and Van Winkle brands are both produced at Buffalo Trace distillery nowadays, distilled to very similar old Stitzel-Weller recipes, and are among the most sought after bourbons on the market.

One of approximately 17,179 bottles from 149 handpicked barrels.

The 2018 release of the William Larue Weller is aged 12 years and was named World Whisky of the Year 2019 by Jim Murray in his Whisky Bible.

Wild Turkey 12 Year Old 101 Proof Limited Edition 1990s

A limited edition bottling of Wild Turkey 12 year old, bottled at the expected 101 US Proof / 50.5%. 

This product was first introduced in the mid-1980s, a period known as the \"Glut Era\" when a downturn in bourbon sales caused many distillers to end up overstocked with well-aged bourbon that was not generally to the tastes of the market at the time (although it was in Japan). The gold labelling was an attempt to premium-ise these older whiskies, and today they are generally regarded as fantastic releases.

The Wild Turkey distillery, originally known as Boulevard, was built in 1869 in Tyrone, Kentucky. The name Wild Turkey was not used until 1941 when some, shared on a hunting trip was referred to as, \"some of that wild turkey whiskey\".

A 1972 vintage bottling of Clynelish, bottled by Liquid Gold as part of their Celtic Legends series.

Hogshead #2254 was specially selected by John McDougall, renowned distiller and author of Wort, Worms and Washbacks.

Bottled in 2002.

William Larue Weller 2015 Release

The 2015 release within the famous and eagerly awaited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, which celebrates historic bourbon brands and figures. Buffalo Trace's parent company, Sazerac, purchased the Weller brand from United Distillers in 1999, 7 years after they had shut down the distilling operation at the legendary Stitzel-Weller.
