Saburomaru 1960 55 Year Old Japanese Single Malt

This is the oldest bottled Japanese whisky ever... 

Wakatsuru Shozou own Saburomaru Distillery, which has been producing limited amounts of whisky since 1952/3, This was distilled in 1960 and matured in a red wine cask with the characteristics of \"Port\" for 55 years.

The malt was heavily peated and distilled in a continuous still (By current Scotch Whisky Association rules this wouldn't be allowed to be called a single malt if produced in Scotland). 

One of only 155 bottles.

Ardbeg 1972 Single Cask 31 Year Old #2780 Ping No.1

An incredibly rare single cask Ardbeg, distilled on 27th October 1972 and bottled at over 31 years old on 14th October 2004, from single cask #2780, a bourbon hogshead.

Known as Ping No.1, this release was part of a 4 bottle 'Ping Project' series bottled for established Danish Wine, Beer & Spirits Store, Juul's Vin & Spiritus. This bottle celebrates the 30th anniversary of employee Michael Madsen, whose nickname was 'Ping'.

Each bottling was released in a season of 2005. No.1 was Spring.

Ardbeg 1976 Single Cask 22 Year Old #2391

A 22 Year old single sherry cask matured Ardbeg distilled in November 1976 then bottled in June 1999.

Ardbeg 1974 Provenance 23 Year Old (1st Release)

The first release of  the legendary  Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 23 years until being released in late 1997.

Matured in bourbon casks these were released to the EU and Asia.

These whiskies are highly acclaimed and desirable, includes certificate and tartan insert.

Ardbeg 1975 Single Cask #4701 Societ

Vintage Ardbeg is a rare commodity these days and we are lucky to offer this 1975 vintage single cask.

Distilled on Boxing Day, 26th December 1975 and bottled on the 26th April 2002 from a single sherry cask #4701.

This cask was split into two seperate bottlings, this one was for Societ and the other was for Clan Des Grand Malt.

This is bottle number 95 of 252.

Springbank 35 Year Old Millennium Limited Edition

An older expression from this Campbeltown classic. This was bottled in September 1999 for the Millennium as part of a range of 6 bottles. 

The set comprised whiskies bottled at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years.

This rare, desirable Ardbeg was distilled on the 24th March 1972 and was matured in a bourbon hogshead cask, prior to being bottled on 13th of October 2004.

This 32 year old whisky came from cask #868 yielding 236 bottles.

Ardbeg 1975 Single Cask #4701 Clan Des Grand Malt

Vintage Ardbeg is a rare commodity these days and we are lucky to offer this 1975 vintage single cask.

Distilled on Boxing Day, 26th December 1975 and bottled on the 26th April 2002 from a single sherry cask #4701.

This cask was put into two seperate bottlings. This was was bottled for Clan des grand malt the other part was bottled for Societ

Tamdhu 1950 23 Year Old

A 1950 vintage Tamdhu from The Highland Distillery Co. Bottled at 23 years old in 1973. 

At this era of production at Tamdhu the distillery was operated in a very traditional method. Floor malted barley, coal fired stills, peat, Very long fermentation and worm tubs. . . this is how whisky was!

Springbank 1973 Cadenhead's 18 Year Old Rum Butt

A tropical storm hits Campbeltown with this Springbank fully matured in a Rum Butt.

Distilled in June 1973 and bottled in September 1991 by Cadenhead's.

Hirsch Reserve 1974 16 Year Old Bourbon / 2003 Release

A legendary bottle of Bourbon that has had a whole book written about itself: \"The Best Bourbon You'll Never Taste\" by Charles K Cowdery

Distilled in Spring 1974, this bourbon is bottled from a single 400 barrel batch commissioned by Adolph Hirsch and distilled under contract at Bomberger's distillery, just outside Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania (The home of Michter's whisky).

This is the 2003 bottling, produced by Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky, referred to in inner circles as 'gold foil'. Responsibility for the earlier bottle was undertake by Julian Van Winkle III, however Sazerac acquiring the Pappy Van Winkle brand in 2003 meant that this had to change.

In his book Cowdery refers to the bourbon as one of the \"best whiskeys I've ever tasted.\"

Mash bill contains 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley.

Talisker 1955 Gordon and MacPhail

An incredible independent bottling of Talisker distilled in 1955, bottled by Gordon and MacPhail.

Taketsuru 25 Year Old

A very rare bottling of Taketsuru, originally introduced in 2012 this blended malt contains casks from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.

It is extremely limited and only 120 bottles were available throughout Europe, this bottle was released in Asia. 

Springbank 25 Year Old Millennium Limited Edition

An older expression from this Campbeltown classic. This was bottled in September 1998 for the upcoming Millennium as part of a range of 6 bottles.

Springbank 21 Year Old

The 21 year old Springbank is incredibly popular for drinkers and collectors, usually selling out in shops very quickly! This edition was from the late 1980s/ early 1990s and refered to as the \"Parchment label\".

Ardbeg 21 Year Old (Committee Bottling)

12 casks were hand chosen to be released exclusively for the Ardbeg committee in 2001.

Matured in bourbon casks, only 2,500 bottles were produced and hand signed by Stuart Thomson.

Scapa 16 Year Old Jutland Memorial Edition / Single Cask

A very unusual single cask official offering from Scapa, released in 2016 to commemorate the Battle of Jutland, which occured in 1916.

A first fill American oak single cask was exclusively bottled to tribute the 249 ships that were involved in the Battle of Jutland.

This is bottle number 168 of 249.

Springbank 1965 Lombard / No. 1 The Golfing Greats

This is a wonderful bottle, Springbank distilled on the 30th April 1965 and matured for 26 years before being bottled by Lombard Scotch Whisky in January 1991 for the US market.

Scapa 1980 25 Year Old

Old Scapa is very hard to come by, the distillery having had a very turbulent history with many periods of closure, most recently between 1994 and 2004.  

This is the oldest official release from Scapa, distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2005 from refill bourbon hogshead.

Only 2,000 bottles were released, this is bottle number 154.

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

A bottle of the earlier St Magdalene bottled as part of the Rare Malt Selection, distilled in 1970 and bottled around 1993.

This 1975 vintage was bottled shortly after the distilleries takeover by Glenmorangie PLC in 1997.
