Ardbeg 1972 Single Cask 31 Year Old #2780 Ping No.1

An incredibly rare single cask Ardbeg, distilled on 27th October 1972 and bottled at over 31 years old on 14th October 2004, from single cask #2780, a bourbon hogshead.

Known as Ping No.1, this release was part of a 4 bottle 'Ping Project' series bottled for established Danish Wine, Beer & Spirits Store, Juul's Vin & Spiritus. This bottle celebrates the 30th anniversary of employee Michael Madsen, whose nickname was 'Ping'.

Each bottling was released in a season of 2005. No.1 was Spring.

The first release of  the legendary  Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 23 years until being released in late 1997.

Matured in bourbon casks these were released to the EU and Asia.

These whiskies are highly acclaimed and desirable, includes certificate and tartan insert.

This cask was split into two seperate bottlings, this one was for Societ and the other was for Clan Des Grand Malt.

Tamdhu 1950 23 Year Old

A 1950 vintage Tamdhu from The Highland Distillery Co. Bottled at 23 years old in 1973. 

At this era of production at Tamdhu the distillery was operated in a very traditional method. Floor malted barley, coal fired stills, peat, Very long fermentation and worm tubs. . . this is how whisky was!

Hirsch Reserve 1974 16 Year Old Bourbon / 2003 Release

A legendary bottle of Bourbon that has had a whole book written about itself: \"The Best Bourbon You'll Never Taste\" by Charles K Cowdery

Distilled in Spring 1974, this bourbon is bottled from a single 400 barrel batch commissioned by Adolph Hirsch and distilled under contract at Bomberger's distillery, just outside Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania (The home of Michter's whisky).

This is the 2003 bottling, produced by Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, Kentucky, referred to in inner circles as 'gold foil'. Responsibility for the earlier bottle was undertake by Julian Van Winkle III, however Sazerac acquiring the Pappy Van Winkle brand in 2003 meant that this had to change.

In his book Cowdery refers to the bourbon as one of the \"best whiskeys I've ever tasted.\"

Mash bill contains 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley.

It is extremely limited and only 120 bottles were available throughout Europe, this bottle was released in Asia.

A truly stunning whisky to look at and certainly full of colour. Distilled in 1979 and matured fully in a single first fill Oloroso sherry casks, for 32 years.

Every single drop of Auchentoshan is Triple Distilled. This method of distillation collects the most concentrated new make spirit of any Scottish distillery and it gives Auchentoshan its unmistakably light and fruity flavour, the perfect canvas for maturatuion. As the spirit matures, deeper colours, fuller flavours and a distinctive smoothness are unveiled..

This Auchentoshan is a rare malt distilled on the 22nd October 1979 and fully matured in 1st fill Sherry Butts for over 32 years. Bottled at cask strength and non chill-filtered to preserve maximum intensity of flavour from this carefully crafted Whisky.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
