Hanyu 1985 Ace of Spades Single Cask #9308

Perhaps the second most talked about bottle within Ichiro Akuto's famous Card Series of whiskies.  The Ace of Spades was released in 2006 and comes from a traditional oak cask that was re-racked into a single Spanish oak sherry butt #9308 before bottling in 2006.

Distilled in 1985 and bottled as a 21 year old, this highly sought after edition was limited to only 300 bottles, this is bottle number 50.

Hanyu 1990 Queen of Hearts Single Cask #9102 

The Queen of Hearts was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006.

Matured in a traditional hogshead before a second period of maturation in a french oak cognac wood, cask # 9102.

This bottle is only number 22 of 324.

Yamazaki 1984

Matured in native Japanese 'Mizunara' oak casks, as well as the American and European ones. This whisky was named World's Best Single Malt Whisky at the 2011 World Whisky Awards.

Hanyu 1991 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #9001 / Jack of Clubs​

A single cask #9001 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt series of whiskies.

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a American oak sherry butt for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2006.

A Single cask Hanyu distilled in 1988 and matured in a hogehads prior to being finished in an American Oak Sherry Butt and bottled 2006.

Yamazaki 1986 Owner's Cask Mizunara Butt #6G5029

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days.

This single cask was distilled in 1986 and matured in a Mizunara butt #6G5029 until bottling in 2006. This was bottled for the 50th Anniversary of La Maison Du Whisky.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2010. 

Originally bottled in a hogshead then finished in a port pipe.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2008 from single cask #9032.

Matured in a hogshead and finished in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butt

A limited edition of around 100 bottles celebrating Japanese hospitality. This whisky has been matured for 25 years in the finest Oloroso sherry casks.

The seal on the bottle is a Mizuhiki, a five corded knot symbolising the joining of hands.

Yoichi 1987 20 Year Old

A 20 year old Yoichi distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2007 at 55%.

Limited to 2,000 bottles.

Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016 75cl / US Import

Matured in Oloroso sherry casks, aged between 12 and 15 years old and even 25 years old, blended together with older single malt stock by chief blender Shinji Fukuyo.

This bottling is the follow up to the famous 2013 release which won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

5000 bottles were produced which is less than third of the quantity of the previous release of Yamazaki Sherry Cask, of which there were approximately 16,000 bottles.

Distilled Febuary 1990 and matured until June 2008.

Matured in cask number ON70646, which was a Spanish Oak Sherry Butt.

A rare 33 year old Dalmore initially matured in American white oak prior to a secondary maturtion of a several years in Chateau Haut-Marbuzet casks.

Hanyu 2000 ‘The Game’ Cask #9805 Rum Finish

This is a bottle from a Japanese food and spirits importer called Shinanoya exclusively for the Japanese market.

This is the forth release in their acclaimed The Game series which contains Hanyu from the final year that the distillery was producing.

This was finished in a rum cask.

Dalmore 1966 Single Cask 30 Year Old

A very very rare bottling of Dalmore, distilled in 1966 and aged for 30 years before bottling in the mid 1990s.

Laid down in December 1966 to celecrate the 300th Anniversary of Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest Brewer.

Hanyu Ichiro's Malt The Joker 'Colour'

The 54th and final bottling in Ichiro's Card Series.

There are two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White.  This particular bottling is the Colour Joker, a vatting of 14 casks covering vintages from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 2000.  The casks used for this final bottling include a sherry butt, puncheon, hogshead, Cognac, chibidaru, Madeira hogshead and bourbon.

Only 3,690 bottles of this highly anticipated whisky have been made available.

Hanyu/Kawasaki 25 Year Old Kiyosato Field Ballet 26th Anniversary

A very rare and collectible marriage of two lost Japanese distilleries: this very limited blended whisky contains 1990 Hanyu and 1982 Kawasaki.

The Hanyu was a 25 Year Old and the Kawasaki was a 33 year old. 

Bottle number 170 of 700 bottles, however there were only 200 of the hardcover editions released which features a blown glass bottle from Kobei Komaki and stopper.

Yamazaki Mizunara Cask 2013

Yamazaki has been thrust into the spot light after their Sherry Cask release of 2013 received the title of Best Whisky in the World title from Jim Murray.  

They release several other limited annual releases including this Mizunara matured bottling.    

Mizunara (Japanese Oak) is famous for imparting it's own characteristics onto the whisky stored within them such as sandalwood and other notes.
