Balblair 2000 Single Cask #1350 / The Gathering Place

A recent single cask release from Balblair exclusive to members of their online community, The Gathering Place.

To purchase this bottle you had to be an existing member of the community and follow a link in an email.  

The whisky was released from a single American oak ex-bourbon barrel, that was filled in 2000 and bottled in 2015 at 57.9%.

Only 168 bottles were released.

Balmenach 12 Year Old Flora and Fauna

One of the most desirable of the Flora and Fauna series, the tasty Balmenach was released as a 12 year old.

Distillerys Company Ltd (DCL/Diageo) created the Flora and Fauna series in the early 1990s, when DCL sold the distillery to Inverhouse distillers this bottle was discontinued.

Bowmore Dawn

Alternatively to the Bowmore Dusk, the Bowmore Dawn was partially finished in casks which previously held ruby port.

Balblair 1999 Single Cask #1713

A 1999 vintage Balblair from a single cask exclusive to Taiwan, bottled in 2014.  

Bowmore 1997 SMWS 16 Year Old 3.225

An independently bottled Bowmore by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, ditsilled on 25th September 1997 and matured in a single refill sherry butt for 16 years.

Bowmore 1992 Cadenhead's 22 Year Old

A vintage cask strength Bowmore distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2015.

Initially matured in bourbon hogshead.

Limited to 264 bottles. 

Balvenie 10 Year Old Founder's Cognac Bottle 

The iconic long discontinued cognac shaped bottle of Balvenie Founder's Reserve.

Bruichladdich 1989 Valinch 26 Year Old / Duncan Macfadyen

A distillery exclusive bottle, the 'Valinch' bottlings are only available for hand bottling at Bruichladdich distillery.  This Valinch was released in honour of the Senior Stillman Duncan 'The Budgie' Macfadyen.

Distilled in 1989 and matured bourbon wood and finished in Guigal Condrieu wood, bottled at 26 years old.

Bruichladdich 1992 Valinch 24 Year Old / Arlene Macfadyen

A distillery exclusive bottle, the 'Valinch' bottlings are only available for hand bottling at Bruichladdich distillery.  This Valinch was released in honour of the Bottling Hall Supervisor  Arlene Macfadyen. 

Distilled in 1992 and matured bourbon wood and finished in Sauternes, bottled at 24 years old.

Bladnoch 1977 Rare Malt 23 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Bladnoch was distilled in 1977  and bottled 23 years later in October 2001.

Bottle number 4954.

This bottle has been leaking and the cork is damaged. Whisky Auctioneer takes no responsibility for further leakage in transport. 

Bowmore Darkest

Even after being discontinued for a decade the Bowmore Darkest was matured in sherry casks and is still incredibly popular amongst Bowmore fans.

The non-aged version shown here has long been discontinued and replaced by the newer 15 year old 'Darkest'.

Bruichladdich 1989 Full Strength 16 Year Old

A follow up to the 13 year old, this 16 year old full strength edition from Bruichladdich was matured in sherry casks.

Balvenie 21 Year Old Port Wood

The 21 year old Balvenie Port Wood is a well known core range product from Balvenie.

The liquid has received an additional period of maturation of 30 months in traditional Port pipes.

This Bowmore, entitled 'Like a hot oal in the mouth' was distilled on 25th September 1997 and bottled 17 years later by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Distilled on 30th April 1998, matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Distilled in 1997 then matured in cask number 1715. This bottle was hand filled in the distillery on 15th June 2016.

This Bowmore, entitled 'Out of the ordinary' was distilled on 10th September 1992 and bottled 20 years later by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Redbreast Mano a Lámh All Sherry Limited Edition

A limited release from Midleton of 2000 bottles for Stillhouse members. 

Mano a Lámh, means ‘hand in hand’, represents the joining of two languages, Gaelic and Galician, in celebration of the relationship between the Masters of Midleton and the collective of artisans in Spain, who have crafted the distillery’s sherry butts for over 20 years.

Balvenie 1981 15 Year Old Single Barrel 1 litre

An older edition of Balvenie's classic single barrel series, a 15 year old single malt which is drawn from a single traditional oak whisky cask of a single distillation. While every cask is subtly different, The Balvenie Malt Master has selected only casks which have the essential characteristics of The Balvenie Single Barrel.

Distilled on 26th March 1981 and bottled on 1st August 1997 from single cask #2897, this is bottle number 142.

Distilled on 10th March 2009 and bottled on 28th June 2016.

Ben Nevis 10 Year Old Port Wood

Distilled in December 2002 at Ben Nevis distillery and matured in a Port pipe cask before being bottled in November 2013.

A fairly recent and popular release from Benriach, the Benriach Dunder is a heavily peated spirit that was finished in dark rum barrels.

All that sounds very tasty and interesting!

Bruichladdich 2006 Islay Grown Dunlossit Farm Valinch / Feis Ile 2016​

The Islay Grown collection from Bruichladdich uses Chalice barley grown from a single farm on the island, this was grown at Dunlossit Farm.  Harvested and distilled in 2006, it was matured in a Rivesaltes cask number #3304.

Blair Athol 1978 Cadenhead's 17 Year Old

An American import, distilled in June 1978 and bottled in March 1996 at 17 years old.

Matured in an oak cask.
