Balmenach 12 Year Old Flora and Fauna

One of the most desirable of the Flora and Fauna series, the tasty Balmenach was released as a 12 year old.

Distillerys Company Ltd (DCL/Diageo) created the Flora and Fauna series in the early 1990s, when DCL sold the distillery to Inverhouse distillers this bottle was discontinued.

Distilled on 30th April 1998, matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

This Bowmore, entitled 'Out of the ordinary' was distilled on 10th September 1992 and bottled 20 years later by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Balvenie 1981 15 Year Old Single Barrel 1 litre

An older edition of Balvenie's classic single barrel series, a 15 year old single malt which is drawn from a single traditional oak whisky cask of a single distillation. While every cask is subtly different, The Balvenie Malt Master has selected only casks which have the essential characteristics of The Balvenie Single Barrel.

Distilled on 26th March 1981 and bottled on 1st August 1997 from single cask #2897, this is bottle number 142.

Celtic Nations Blended Malt

A very unusual blended malt from Bruichladdich, combining Irish whisky with 1994 Bruichladdich and a touch of Port Charlotte.

This has resulted in a one-off bottling as the blending of Scotch and Irish whiskies has been banned.

Chateau Margaux 1975

One of the most iconic wineries in the world, Chateau Margaux has been at the forefront of the wine industry since its foundation in 16th Century and even more so since its placement within the top rung of French wines in Napoleon's 1855 Classification.  As sought after today as ever it was, Chateau Margaux is one of a handful of estates whose wines enjoy the utmost global preference.

While 1975 vintage in Bordeaux was widely reported to be not great, the perfect long spring and summer seasons allowed good development of the grapes, which followed by prolonged rain ensured further ripening.  The resulting high tannins provided a wine not particularly fit for drinking in its youth, but conversely provides the solid backbone essential to a considerably lengthy period of ageing.

A unusual Chieftain's bottling of Convalmore distilled in 1984 and bottled at 15 years of age.

Clynelish 1992 Cadenhead's 21 Year Old

A Clynelish distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2014. Matured in a bourbon hogshead, this is one of only 792 bottles produced.

Balvenie 21 Year Old Port Wood

The 21 year old Balvenie Port Wood is a well known core range product from Balvenie.

The liquid has received an additional period of maturation of 30 months in traditional Port pipes.

Benriach Dunder 18 Year Old Peated / Dark Rum Finish

A fairly recent and popular release from Benriach, the Benriach Dunder is a heavily peated spirit that was finished in dark rum barrels.

All that sounds very tasty and interesting!

Bruichladdich 2006 Islay Grown Dunlossit Farm Valinch / Feis Ile 2016​

The Islay Grown collection from Bruichladdich uses Chalice barley grown from a single farm on the island, this was grown at Dunlossit Farm.  Harvested and distilled in 2006, it was matured in a Rivesaltes cask number #3304.

Blair Athol 1978 Cadenhead's 17 Year Old

An American import, distilled in June 1978 and bottled in March 1996 at 17 years old.

Matured in an oak cask.

Bowmore Legend / Legend of the Gulls

Bowmore Legends is a range that promotes the myths and legends of Islay's past, below is the Legend of the Gulls.

Back in the day, when the Scots traveled from their Celtic lands to create the Kingdom of Dalriada-in-Alban, the Pictish and Brythonic tribes who already lived in the lands resisted fiercely. Legend says that the daughter of a Pictish King fell in love with a captured Scottish warrior and helped him escape. Together they fled westwards to Islay. Rowing towards the young warrior's home on the shores of Loch Indaal, a terrible storm assaulted their boat, sending it crashing into the rocky coast line.

The young Scot's clansmen found only debris and no sign of the lovers - but a pair of white gulls soared and swooped together across the Loch, settling neither on the western nor the eastern shore, as if torn between the two.

Benriach 1994 Single Cask Peated / Madeira Finish

A UK single cask exclusive Benriach distilled in 1994 and bottled June 2014 as a 20 Year Old.

This heavily peated Benriach was matured in a single hogshead #5626 this is bottle number 22 of 334.
